Amber runs on stage then reaches a point and runs on spot constantly looking behind her,

George is soon to follow but screaming and scrambling. There is a moment of

acknowledgement. Then they continue the focus on running.

1st Unison choreographed running section to [SONG] George is in cannon to Amber.

Amber falls over during song. George curiously looks over to her.

George: Are you alright?

Amber: Who are you n Why are you following me?

George: Well my name’s jeff and i’m not follo...

Amber: [interrupts] It looks to me like you are following me

George: Hey… I’m just wondering if you’re alright [puts hand out to amber]

Amber: [Amber hesitates then gets up by herself] I don’t need your help

They continue running. This time insync.

George: So, what are you running from?

Amber: [Double takes George then looks fed up]

-----------

The running increases in intensity until they repeat a series of actions 4 or so times. Song fades
out.

Amber: We’re going in circles

George: What?

Amber : I said we are going in circles

George: We’re going in circles [At the same time]

Amber: That’s what I just said

George: Well… You know what I needed to stop anyway I’m thirsty
George stops.

Amber: What are you doing?

George: [Backpack fully open looking for bottle] I ’m getting a drink

Amber: You can't stop now we’re on the run!

George: What from?

Amber: From.. [Pauses to think] Why am I even with you?

George: I don't know… we’re on the run?

Amber: What from?

George: Urm… I can’t remember… shoot where even are we?

Amber: Why are you dressed like some sort of boy scout?

George: I like hiking

Amber: Give us that bag of yours

George reluctantly hands Amber his bag - Amber snatches it and finds the water bottle instantly
and drinks it all then throws the water bottle away. George is looking for signs of where they are.

George: Looks to me as if we are in the forest.

Amber: [Sarcastically] What gave you that idea… the trees?

George:Yeah.. I suppose.

Amber: And my name’s Jess by the way, thanks for asking.

George: ...sorry. Hi Jess

Amber: [sighs] If you are ever lost in a forest, the trees will help you find your way.

George: I’m sorry… who what now?

Amber: What I’m saying is that If we get a bit of height, maybe we can look around and work out
where we are, and what we were running from.

George: Ahh, I see. So you are saying if I jump really high.. [George prepares to jump then
 What are you doing?
Amber starts climbing him] …

Amber: Just shh for a moment at stay still [amber makes her way to stand on George’s
shoulders then directs him] Left a bit….. No my left…. Turn…. Turn more… I see smoke!

George: What does that mean?

Amber: Put me down. Fire there is a fire [She begins to panic]

George: Oh no

Amber : And it's coming this way

George: Oh pooh, What do we do?

Amber: We need to go somewhere that has water. Somewhere away from the fire?

 kay..
George: [starting to panic too] O

Amber: Do you know where we can find any swimming pools?

George: No.

Amber: Canals?

George: No.

Amber: Reservoirs?

George: No.

Amber: General bodies of water?

George: Not except my water bottle. Hey where is that [looks in bag for water bottle finds Map]

Amber: [to herself] Think… water… water

George: Should I check the map?

Amber: YOU HAVE A MAP?

George: I like hiking.

Amber: Give me that [Snatches map off of George. Choreographed movement explaining how
to get to Cape mistake] There’s nothing here, it’s a barren wasteland!!!

George flips the map over

Amber: [disgruntled and embarrassed] So we are...

George: In a clearing surrounded by a mixture of oak and beech, giving off a heady scent, with
an undertone of smoke

Amber: The Forest…. And we need to get to water… How about the cape?

George: [like a dictionary] Why would we need to go to a point or head of land projecting into a
body of water?

Amber: YEAH… A cape? Maybe the... water!?

George: Why do we need water again?

Amber: [Sighs] We need to leave the forest down the Really Slippery Slope…… take the
conveniently Rattley bridge Over the Pit of Mosh…. Take a left down the M40….

George: Urgh… the M40

Amber: Stop off at the picnic site… and then jump the final hurdle.

George: And then we are at the cape?

Amber starts running

George: Why are you running?

Amber: Because of the fire.

George double takes and notices the fire before running.

-------

Amber: Wait, who are all these people?

George: It’s a group of young explorers, they must be on the run too!

Amber: Hmm… but what if they are following us?

George: Maybe they can help us find the edge of the forest?
Amber: Urm I don't know Jeff, Can they?

George: [To audience] Can you help us find the edge of the Forest?

[Audience Responds]

Amber: I’m still not sure Jeff, there is a lot of them?

George: I have this trick that we adventures to keep ourselves under control in big groups,
 veryone touches
Where if you all stand up and I say ‘touch your head’ [Audience Responds]... e
their head… See you try

[Amber plays touch game]

Amber: Okay then

George: See Jess, we can trust them!

Amber: Now let’s get out of the forest and fast!

Compass Running game for a bit. Amber then takes them in circles. George finds the exit of the
forest and they run to one side of the room where he stops them.

----

George and Amber: Everybody stop we’ve reached the really slippery slope!

George Leads the way crossing down the slope. Amber makes sure the kids don't go too close
to one another. George forgets his backpack and Amber notices this when they are all down the
slope. The reverse roles this time with Amber leading the way crawling back up the slope.
Amber grabs backpack and they go down the slope in pairs. At the bottom the get into a line,
but Amber is distracted and sifting through George’s stuff.

George: Everyone get into order of birthdays. Quick, for the rattley bridge!

[Audience Responds]
Amber: Jeff… why aren't they in order?

George: They are in order… of birthdays! [proud]

Amber: They’re supposed to be in height order! Everyone get into height order... And Fast!

[Audience Responds]

George: awww maaaan.

----

We walk them single file into a diagonal line with Amber leading and George at the back. They
have to hold onto the shoulders of the person in front of them to create a conga line. There’s a
gust of wind forcing everyone to the right in a snakey way, then to the left, then to the right
again. They must keep in contact whilst moving around the space, following Amber’s lead.

Amber: [Turns around] J eff, this is too dangerous, we’re going to have to go back, everyone turn
around and attach to the person behind you.

[Audience Responds]

George: No, what are you doing? Jess, I’ve walked plenty of bridges in my time, I would know if
this bridge wasn’t safe. Everyone turn back around, lets keep going.

Amber: Jeff, the bridge is starting to shake. Everyone, brace yourselves, there’s more wind
coming!!!!

Smaller and sharper gusts of wind hit the line, one to the left and one to the right.

George: See, it’s holding fine.

Amber: It’s not holding fine.

George: I could even jump if I wanted to, in fact…

Amber: DO NOT JUMP

George: Everyone jump!!!!!

[Audience Responds]

Sound effect for bridge braking comes in

Amber: The bridge is braking, everybody hold on. We’re falling!

Everyone falls to the floor in a winkle position until we reach the pit of mosh.

----

Music fades up slowly, Amber starts muttering to herself in excitement, gets up and starts
dancing, meanwhile George plays Touch Your Head game to make sure everyone’s okay.

George: Okay, okay, it seems to me as if we’re in the Pit of Mosh. Jess, what are you doing?

Amber: [Doesn’t respond]

George: JESS!?

Amber: Come on!

George: Where are we going?

Amber: the M40!?

George: Look, a car. How convenient.

Amber and George argue about who is driving and then mime getting into a car. Amber wins
and they drive off front facing. There is a two and fro while they’re driving on all the minor roads
and the car suddenly comes to a standstill as they reach the M40, where the entire scene is a
right turn.

George: Are we there yet?

Amber: No.

George: Aw

[pause]

George: How about now?

Amber: NO.

George: aww

[pause]

Amber: I need a wee

George: That's what happens when you drink all my water and then jump up and down in a pit
 ook the picnic sight
of mosh or whatever! [Pause] L

George Points and amber swerves the car

George : Are we there now?

Amber: YES. Get out of the car!

George struggles like an old man trying to get out of the car, grabbing his backpack

Amber: Have you got a blanket?

George: Of Course

Amber: Well come on then

George and Amber set up the picnic and gleefully get lost in choreographed movement of
passing food and drink and having a fun time like kids do at a picnic - cartwheels and
handstands and stuff. The stuff they do gets slowly more dark until:

George: I didn't realise you bought a barbecue

Amber: Do I look like I would have a barbecue?

George: So what’s that smell then

Sniff and look

George and Amber: FIRE!

MUSIC STARTS George and Amber commence running as they did at the beginning, this time
supporting and leaping over each other, working together as friends
 ook it's the final hurdle!!
Amber: [Pointing] L

George: What?

Amber: The Final hurdle!

While running they jump

George: Well that wasn’t so bad

Amber: You can say that again.

Slowing down the run they stop

George: This must be it?

Amber: Its a beach…

George: I like beaches

Amber: But it said on the map it was a cape

George: Must have been a mistake

Amber: A Cape by mistake

George: Cape mistake

Amber: Cape mistake

George: At least we are safe from the fire now. Couldn’t have done it without you though.

Amber: Yeah that’s right. I’m the best.

George: Yeah but seriously…

Amber: Yeah I guess you helped too

George: YAY, I like helping

[Pause]

Amber: Look, the fire’s dying down

George: Yeah you’re right. What do we do know

Amber: Whilst I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sharing this adventure with you, I’m gonna go back to the
pit of mosh. Seeya [Leaves]

George: Oh… okay.. Bye.

Pause

George: I guess I'll keep hiking then [walks off]
