Magnum Rebrand – Treatment
Synopsis:
This advert is set in a typical student shared home. A student is sitting on a sofa in the living
room and their friends are seen leaving for a party. On a coffee table, a TV remote and
Magnum are seen next to each other. The student reaches for the TV remote but accidently
picks up the Magnum, looking confused.
The student puts down the Magnum and grabs the TV remote, switching through TV
channels. A selection of TV programs is shown on screen, with each TV programme including
a Magnum. The student settles on a horror movie: ‘Magnum-Anabelle.’ Next, the student
opens the Magnum and takes a bite from the top (insert iconic Magnum crunch.) Magnum-
Anabelle turns out from the TV to face the audience, responding to the crunch. The front
door begins to creak open as suspenseful music starts building and the student quickly turns
around in fear. However, it turns out to just be the friends who left earlier for the party.
They all join the student on the sofa and enjoy Magnums together. Despite the student
clearly being introverted, their friends still embrace them, and all end up enjoying an
evening at home together. The advert ends with the friends eating Magnums together on
the sofa.

1. INT. STUDENT HOME- LIVING ROOM
A STUDENT is sitting on the sofa in the living room. Behind them, a

group of FRIENDS are seen leaving to go to a party.
FRIENDS
Byeeee!
They exit through the front door.
Student reaches for the remote and picks up a Magnum instead by

accident. Student looks confused and puts the Magnum back down. Student
picks up the remote. Student presses buttons on the remote to change the
channel.
2. EXT. LOVE ISLAND VILLA- DAY
STACEY and JUSTIN- who were coupled up- are arguing in the bedroom about
how he coupled up with someone else and now has stolen the last magnum.
STACEY
First you couple up with Greta, then you eat the last magnum!
JUSTIN
I’m sorry! They’re just too good!
STACEY
How dare you! (throws empty box of magnums)
3. EXT. OUTSIDE AROUND COLLEGE- NIGHT
POLICE OFFICERS sneak around the car park and spot the CULPRIT. They
suddenly pull out a Magnum "gun".
POLICE #1
Put your hands in the air!
POLICE #2
Place your weapon on the ground!
The culprit places the Magnum weapon on the ground slowly.
4. EXT. THE WOODS FROM 'IN THE NIGHT GARDEN'- DAY
Stop motion scene of 'In the Night Garden'- the well-known characters
are all made out of Magnums.

Anabelle stops and turns around to look at the Student, revealing that
she is a Magnum.
8. INT. LIVING ROOM
Door opens without the Student noticing. The student suddenly turns
their head around.

The party was rubbish without you!
All the friends sit together on the sofa/armchairs and grab Magnums from
the box on the table. They unwrap them and all eat together happily.

temporary sets onto the premises for the time specified. I understand that all items brought onto
