~ FREE ANNADAN SCHEME ~

AT SHIRDI SAI PRASADALAYA

Shirdi is a place of Faith for each and every Sai Devotee.


The Sai Devotees regard the Meal at the Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya as
their Holy Prasad.
Many generous Sai devotees donate meals for all the Sai Devotees
free of cost. At present, in the Sai Prasadalaya, everyday 25 to 30
thousand Sai devotees have Meals.
During the time of vacation and festivals of Lord Sai Baba the number
of Sai devotees goes up to 60 thousand.

Free Prasad Meals are served to the poor, blind, handicapped & sages
which totals upto approx 1000 persons everyday.
Expenses of Prasad Meal is around Rs.16/-per plate while the Shirdi
Sai Baba Sansthan provides it to all devotees for Rs.10/- only.
Apart from this, Children below the age of 10 are charged Rs.5/- for
the same. The Sai Prasadalaya’s yearly expenditure is Rs 30 crores.

According to Shirdi Sai Sansthan's Executive Officer, Shri Kishore More


during the festival & other days many devotees on their own /
childrens / parents or relatives Birthdays or in fond remembrance of
their parents / relatives, had expressed their desire to donate a One
day Free Prasad Meal to all devotees at the Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya.

Respecting the wishes of Sai Devotees, the Shirdi Sai Sansthan


Trust Management Committee decided
to start a "One Day Free Annadan Scheme" at Shirdi Sai
Prasadalaya from 31st March 2007.

According to this scheme devotees can donate Rs 2 lakhs or


more for One day Free Prasad Meal for all Sai devotees.
The Donor can donate individually or in the group of maximum
5 members.
As per the Scheme, the Prasad Meal Coupons will be freely
distributed to the devotees in the Prasad queue according to
the dates suggested by the Donor
and also on the same day, the Donor(s) name(s)
will be displayed at the Prasadalaya’s notice board.

- Cost for a One Day Prasad Meal (Jan to Dec) -


1) Rs 3 Lakhs on Festivals like Shri Ramnavami, Shree Gurupurnima &
Sai Baba's Punyatithi Utsav.
2) Rs 2 Lakhs on other (Non Festival) days.

This "One Day Free Annadan Scheme" at Shirdi Sai Prasadalaya is


getting a lot of good response not only from India but also abroad.
Recently, an American Sai Devotee Mrs.Himabindu Bandaru from New-
york donated Rs 11,92,613/- for the free prasad meal to be distributed
to all devotees from 11th Nov`2010 to 14th Nov`2010
at the Sai Prasadalaya.

With this in total 112 Sai Devotees have donated Rs 2,24,27,899/- till
now and thus provided one day free meal to 21,74,550 Sai Devotees.

4) Madhya Pradesh - 12 Devotees
5) Tamil Nadu - 5 Devotees
6) Karnataka - 3 Devotees
7) West Bengal / Gujarat / Uttar Pradesh - 2 Devotees each
8.) Bihar / Kerala - 1 Devotee each

From Outside India:


1) Bangkok / USA - 5 Devotees each
2) Dubai / Canada - 1 Devotee each
