A. Preliminary Activity
Look closely at the picture.

What do the pictures show?


 What do you think did the owner of the hand did that made him lose a finger or
his fingers?
 Name a country where fingers are cut off as punishment for theft and
dishonesty.
 Why do you think is such punishment given?
 What difference will it make if the same punishment is given to anyone who
commits the same crime in our country?

Work in groups. Maximize cooperation and participation.

Narrate the story using the given pictures. Plot out “Ali Baba and the Forty
Thieves” using the given organizer.
