AS OF Wednesday, December 20, the Davao City Business Bureau has

recorded 41,164 businesses with permits in the city, a big chunk of

which belonging to the retailing sector. During the Ispeak press
conference yesterday, December 21, Business Bureau officer-in-charge
attorney Marissa Torentera said this is much higher from the estimated
2016 number of 36,000 to 38,000 businesses.
The city government has set a new record after it ended 2017 with more
than 40,000 businesses and a total investment value of P270 billion,
Mayor Sara Duterte said.
Based on DMDU data, the Roxas night market as of March 28, 2016 has
a total of 753 stalls based on the floor plan, 690 of which are now
occupied by actual vendors. Of the actual number of vendors, 180 of
whom are into selling accessories, 160 into food and 350 are selling
