Abstract. It is the executive summary of the paper, usually 200-250

words (<5% of your paper), 1 paragraph and single space. It usually
follows the SPMRC Model where the first statement (may add 2nd
statement) is the statement or background of the study, second statement
is the principal purpose or objectives/rationale of the study, followed by
methods, results (major findings) and conclusion stating the
implications/significance of the findings. The Abstract should be less
technical than the paper itself, no citations, footnotes, abbreviations,
acronyms, tables and figures. Do not paste sections taken from the main
text. The Abstract is self-contained which means it could be published
separately in the abstract compilation or databases. Do not repeat
information in the title. Write mostly in the past tense except S and C. it is
best to write AFTER the paper is complete.

INTRODUCTION

A catering business is the provision of products and services in small to large groups at
any kind of events. Catering is a competitive market and business is mainly driven by word-of-
mouth recommendations. Therefore, how they price the food and service will have a significant
impact on the success of the business. Catering services are frequently sold on a per-person
basis. There are many factors that may affect catering prices, such as menu choices, furniture
or supply rentals, labor and service charges.

There are many types of food catering services on the market, including mobile catering,
airline catering and event catering. Event catering is a food service with workers waiting for you.
This form of service is often used for large events such as banquets and weddings. A full
service catering company will also provide room decoration, lighting and table settings. The
difference of full-service catering from the other kinds of catering services is that the staffs such
as the bartenders, kitchen staffs, and servers are on their stations where every staffs are
prepared for the event. This kind of entrepreneurial business must have a great reputation. To
have built a reputation, the owner of the catering business must be hard working, organized,
and creative and knows how to handle situations or pressures in their business.

According to Heathers, (2008) Catering Operations are typically among the most complex of the
tasks in a restaurant. It is estimated that only 15% to 30% of the catering business in hotels, restaurants
and clubs is profitable. Successful catering services include efficient pricing and portion size control, and
human resources management. The advantage of a successful catering business is that only the catering
department makes profits. It also improves other areas of the company.

Factors to consider in Catering Service

when appropriate. The generic or common name should be used in the text with full chemical name in the

suffering throughout the study was avoided and proper procedures in handling or treating animals was
observed. Further, the maintenance and care of the animal subject accord the guidelines of the institution
or agency authorized for use of animals in research.

Statistical procedures including methods of analysis should be included and identified. Number of
replicates, samples and subsamples and statistical test should be mentioned.

RESULTS
This section should clearly and precisely stated

Can include subheadings

All results must be presented first with tables, followed by interpretation.

Table 1

The pressing factors on students’ one night stand experience in Dasmariñas, Cavite

Indicators Male % Female % Total Ranking

In case that the table do not fit on the same page, cut the table and
label Table # (continued) and proceed to the usual process of
interpreting the table.

This will be followed by the presentation of the content of the table. Present only the first 2-higher
figure in the data and the lowest among the data. If possible, state your general interpretation or your own
understanding about the content of the table.

In case there is a need to discuss a trend of the study, make a figure. It can be a pie graph, line
graph, bar graph or any other graph depending on the needs of the data presented.
