CHAPTER V

A. SUMMARY

Experiencing this kind of On-the-Job Training, I can say that this is better than an

OJT doing nothing but just killing time. I think when we talk about OJT, it is good to have

an actual work or hands on to the work related to the course, since this will really help

the student to see and experience the environment and work that they can do in the

future. This will give them the ideas of how things should work. This might also give

them the chance to be hired eventually. On the other hand, since it is hard to look for

the company that offers this kind of OJT, it is not bad to take any opportunity of trainings

that are related to the course that will surely help the student and equipped them with

knowledge and that is what Electro-Mechanical Section (EMS) of National Irrigation

Administration (NIA) does.

B. CONCLUSION

The practicum experiences are worth the time, effort and hard work with the short

period of time that I have spent it in National Irrigation Administration – Magat River

Integrated Irrigation System (NIA – MARIIS), it contributed a lot to increase my

awareness, understanding, confidence and practical application of my course. The

experience I have gained inspired me to always do good and always give the best of the

best’s efforts.

The experience increased my commitment, competence and compassion as a true

Electronics Engineer who is soon to become part of the society outside as a working

professional.

C. RECOMMENDATION

The time of the On-the-Job Training should start as soon as possible in order to

focus the attention to the program, since there are lot of requirements needed when

about to graduate. When having an On-the-Job Training, student should take into

account the benefits and the result of the training to their self and to their future.
