Where will the project be stored?

All projects will be kept in class, so no one forgets it


at home or in the other room, But you may bring
elements, parts of it, home to work on.

Just the large poster will stay in class so it doesn’t


get damaged or lost
Objective:
To show the similarities and differences between civilizations of
the Aztec, Maya, and Inca

Task:
Working by yourself create a poster for display in the hallway that
accurately details each civilization based on the 7 characteristics
of a civilization.
Materials:

● One piece of poster paper (1 piece only provided to you)


● Blue pen, black pen, or fine tip blue/black marker for
writing
● Crayons or colored pencils (NO MARKERS), for coloring
● You may print pictures at home if you like, however you
will still need to have colored elements
Required elements:

1. Must indicate where the civilization was located


2. Must indicate the dates the civilization was in power
3. Must provide details for each of the 7 characteristics for each of the 3 civilizations
a. Language and Writing Systems
b. Cities
c. Social Hierarchy
d. Government
e. Technology
f. Organized Religion
g. Job Specialization
4. MUST be accurate (details are correct)
5. Must be VERY easy to read
6. Must be neat and colorful
7. Must include pictures that support your details (not every detail
needs a picture)
8. NO SPELLING MISTAKES
9. NO WRITING with crayon, colored pencils (if you are using
marker it should be fine tipped)
10. NO Coloring with markers
Scoring:
This will be scored using the provided rubric and it
will count as a TEST grade.
