Keep reading this ‘prelude’ (1st part) taken from my full book which aims to give you
a complete overview of what you are going to learn in this music journey.

In Chapter 1, you will learn how it all started. You will see that I was no different
than most of you being the typical child who was forced by my parents to sit
traditional classical piano exams. You will also see that calling someone who can play
by ear “talented” is just an excuse to stick to traditional sheet music methods or

In Chapter 11, we apply everything we have learnt from chapters 6 to 10 and go
through a melody from a real pop song example together using the melody
recognition system. Step by step, note by note, word by word, and process by
process.

After going through the melody recognition system, Chapter 12 goes through my
method on how to identify chords by voicing out the bass note through many
practise and applicable examples.
Then in Chapter 13, I give you my best trick to easily distinguish between major and
minor chords by ear disregarding the fact if they are in inversions or not.

In Chapter 14, I have an additional trick for more advanced musicians or high
achievers where you learn how to identify chords fast by combining the concept of
specific scale degrees and intervals.

In Chapter 15, I teach the texture changing concept in order to allow you to know
exactly where each chord is matched accordingly with the melody because there is
no point playing the melody and chord separately as our goal is to know how to piece
everything together as a song.
