I. Objectives
At the end of the session, the students are expected to:
a. Identify the two types of eclipse;
b. Explain what causes a solar and lunar eclipse when they occur; and
c. Promote the safety measures during eclipse
A. Review
Ask the students about their previous lesson.
What they learn in the previous topic.
Ask the learners if they really understand the past lesson
B. Motivation
The teacher will group the students into two groups. The students must arrange the
the letters to form a word. The scrambled letters are:

C. Activity
The teacher will need a volunteer to hold the flashlight and show shadows in a span
of 3 minutes only. Each group will guess the shadows and for those group who will
guess more will have additional points.
D. Analysis
The teacher will now discuss the solar and lunar eclipse, causes of solar and lunar
eclipse, penumbra and umbra.
E. Abstraction
As a summary, the teacher will ask the following questions:

On their activity notebook, the learners will answer the given quiz.
V. Assignment
In a short bond paper, draw the solar and lunar eclipse.
