Theme : Challenges and Opportunities of Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics

in the Era of Industry Revolution 4.0

Background : Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics are integral parts of industry
revolution 4.0. They are also closely related. IoT will become one of the main
sources of the abundance of data which has to be analyzed to produce useful
information. It is therefore very important that the challenges and
opportunities of these two technologies are understood so that they can be
used properly.

Purpose of Event : Master of Information Technology (MIT) at Swiss German University

(SGU) is committed to train the digital transformation architects
who will contribute to the transformation of business and society
towards This activity is a combination of seminar and workshop.
The target audience will be IT professionals and students of MIT
SGU. readiness in industry revolution 4.0 era. Aligned with this
commitment, MIT SGU is organizing a seminar and workshop on
IoT and Data Analytics. The seminar will be free of charge, for
workshop will be small register free. The seminar will be followed by
a moderated question-and-answer session. The target number of
Audience for the seminar is 80 people. After the seminar, there will be
two workshops: one on IoT security and the other on data analytics.
Because of the limitation of infrastructures, the target of audience is
limited to only 40 people: 20 people for each workshop.

The FGD will be a close event, attended only by study program lecturers, staff,
alumni, and of course the invited speakers. The purpose of the FGD is to
discuss whether IoT and Data Science can cover the need for the
development of the MIT curriculum.
