Therapeutic Pediatric Nutrition
This book is a sequel to the earlier one (Basic Pediatric
Nutrition) by the same author, where she deals with the
dietary requirements and management of children with
specific diseases. Problems ranging from the gastrointestinal
tract like diarrhea, liver and kidney disorders, have been
covered in great detail. Some of the more complex diseases,
like cystic fibrosis and metabolic disorders, are also touched
upon giving details of managing them in the Indian scenario.
Dietary modifications required for disorders, like juvenile
diabetes, celiac disease and seizure disorders, have been
explained in a style which is simple yet practical to follow.
The vast experience of the author over a span of three
decades in managing such children with various problems
have been dealt with in context to the Indian setting unlike
