12 trainings, 300 beneficiaries, 1 ultimate GOAL!

Over the past three years after Former President Benigno Simeon Aquino III signed the
Republic Act 10644 also known as ‘’Go Negosyo Act” last January 2015, Negosyo Centers came
into existence conveying life changing opportunities to the Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises all over the Philippines. At present, Masbate Province has 11 fully operational
Negosyo Center and one of which is Negosyo Center Aroroy.

Municipality of Aroroy are pack with business activity with a considerable number of
potential entrepreneur. As a first class municipality, it is imminent for business establishment to
gain a large number of customer with different needs and habitual changes on their daily
activity. With such, Negosyo Center Aroroy planned several activities to help MSME’s to cope
up such rapid changes in consumer and market activities as well as help them to improve their
product or services. This includes seven entrepreneurial seminars, one financing forum and four
skills trainings. The entrepreneurial seminar involves Updates on Business Permits and Licenses
which give information on process of securing such permits and its importance to the business
operation; “How to Start a Small Business’’ and Entrepreneurial Mind setting which encourage
potential MSME’s and existing MSME’s to go into business and how a true entrepreneur thinks;
Simplified Accounting for Entrepreneur for monitoring and recording business transactions;
Basics of Marketing for a strategic techniques of attracting consumer to buy the product or
services; Financial Wellness which tackles about personal finance and financial management;
and lastly Food Safety Management for food service establishment on how to prepare their
processed food properly. Meanwhile, Financing Forum will facilitate options to the MSME’s in
regards of raising capital and fund source if they need for expansion. On the other hand, the
skills trainings focused on food industry, specifically processed meat, and wearables and home-
style.

Trainings and seminars are only just the stepping stones for an MSME’s for a greater
success in the market. The bigger role to attain this success lays on the hand MSME’s. MSME’s
should portray and act excellently in order to survive in an ever changing stage of business
activities. The DTI’s role in this success is the unravelling support that the agency will commit
for a greater possibility of success. DTI will be the agency to provide a guiding light as the
MSME’s journey to greater heights of success and achievements which contributes to the
ultimate goal of the agency, TO DEVELOP MSME’S IN THE COUNTRY SIDE.
