registration for the first round of counseling which will remain valid for compiete admission

However, if a candidate misses out the above deadlines for any reason, he/she may participate in
further rounds through fresh registration before starting of a round, as detailed in the counseling
schedule.
Under no circumstances, the candidate registering in later rounds can claim
for seats allotted to'other

Fee Concession for Students Belonging to Economically Weaker Sections


Fee concession is available to all the desirous and eligible students of DTU. The students whose family
income from all sources is less than Rs.4,50,000/- per annum are eligible for fee concession. In the year
2018-19, fee concession of more than Rs.l.75Crore was extended to the economically weaker section
students.

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women IIGDTUW], Delhi was established by Delhi
Government in May 2013 vide Delhi State Legislature Act9,2012 in order to play a major role in
the capacity building and imparting high quality Technical Education to Women of our Country.
The University offers B. Tech. in [CSE, IT, ECE and MAE], B. Arch., M. Tech. in [CSE (AI),

Chapter 2 Eligibility Conditions
o Admission in B. Tech. Courses in NSUT, DTU and IGDTUW will be strictly on the basis of CRL
Rank in JEE (Main) - 2019 Paper-I.
o Admission in B. Arch. Course in IGDTUW will be strictly on the basis of CRL Rank in JEE
(Main) - 2019 Paper-II.
o Admission in IIIT-D will be based on percentile score obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2019 and
bonus points for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, Programming Contest, National
Talent Search, Sports, Culture, Chess,Innovation, etc.

2.L Region
2.1.L Delhi Region Candidates [85% of seats)
A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College / Institute located
within the National Capital Territory NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.

2.1.2 Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats)


A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College / Institute lochted
outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.

Note: For a candidate, who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi /
National Institute of Open School, Delhi (NIOS), the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location
of his/Lrer centre of examination. In other words, if the centre of examination is located in the NCT of
Delhi, the candidate shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the centre of examination is
locate<i outside NCT of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region.

2.2 Qualifying Examination


The qualifuing examination for admission to all the participating Universities / Institute will be any of the
following examination:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (l?-year course) of the Council for Indian School
Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination
of the CBSE
Note: Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination in the year 2019 and have been placed in
compartment will not be cligiblc for admission for the year 2019.

2.3 Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualifying Examination


2.3.1 B. Tech. Course at NSUT, IGDTUW and DTU

A candidate securing 600/o or more marks in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and
has passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or
Elective) AND having JEE Main 2019 Rank (Paper I) shall be eligible for admission to the first semester
of B. Tech. lB.F,. course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.

2.3.2 B. Tech. Course at IIIT-D

A candidate who has secured 80% or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including
Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics in qualifying examination AND
having JEE Main 2019 Rank (Paper I) is eligible.

2.3.3 B. Arch. Course at IGDTUW

No candidate shall be admitted to B. Arch. course unless she has passed an examination at the end of the l0+2
scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at
least 50% in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or has passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with
Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate AND qualified JEE Main 2019
(Paper II) examination.

2.4 Relaxation in Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualitring Examination for Reserved


Category / Sub-Category Candidates
Candidates belonging to various reserved categories namely OBC (Non Creamy Layer), Scheduled Caste,
Scheduled Tribe, and sub-categories namely Defence, Differently Abled Person, who apply for seats
reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum marks criterion as mentioned below:

2.4.1 For NSUT, DTU and IGDTUW only

(i) Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): Candidates claiming reservation under Other Backward
Class (Non Creamy Layer) category shall be allowed a relaxation of 5o/o marks.
(ii) Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): Candidates claiming reservation u4der
Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) shall be allowed a relaxation of 10% marks.
(iii) Defence (CW): Candidates claiming reservation under Defence sub-category (CW) shall be
allowed a relaxation of 5o/o marks.
(iv) Persons with Disabilities (PD): Candidates claiming reservation under "Persons with
Disabilities" (PD) sub-category shall be allowed a relaxation of l0% marks.

2.4.2 For IIIT-D only


(i) Other Backward Class (OB): Candidates claiming reservation under Other Backward Class
(Non Creamy Layer) category shall be allowed a relaxation of 5o/o marks.
(ii) Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): Candidates claiming reservation under Scheduled
Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) shall be allowed a relaxation of l0% marks.
(iii) Defence (CW): Candidates claiming reservation under Defence sub-category (CW) shall be
allowed a relaxation of Soh marks.

Chapter 4 Online Registration procedure
4.1 Submission of Registration-cum-Counseling Fee
All candidates desirous of seeking admission to the engineering / architecture programs at DTU,
IGDTUW, IIIT-D and NSUT are required to visit website wrvw.jaidelhi.nic.m to pay inon-refundable
registration-cum-counseling fee of Rs.1500/- ( plus transactions charges as applicable)

NOTE: ONLINE REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED AS PER COUNSELING SCHEDULE ONLY.


The candidate will initiate the fee submission for online registration process by entering his/her following

If amount gets deducted from the candidate's bank I card,account but the candidate is not able to register,
it indicates that transaction has failed. Such failed transactions are refunded to the same bank 7 card

4.2 Online Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment and Result Declaration
1) Online Registration: Having paid the counseling fee, the candidate shall visit the website
http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in and Click on the New Registration link. Candidate must enter the
following to access the Online Registration Form:

shall choose a suitably strong "Password" for subsequent logins to this counseling website.
Also, he/she shall choose a security question which shall be used to retrieve the password in
case he/she forgets hisArer password.

iii) It is in the interest of candidate to remember his/her Password and keep it highly
confidential, to avoid misuse by other candidate, for which JAC shall not be responsible, in
any manner.

iv) Candidates must ensure that Mobile Number and Email Address provided by them must
be valid and should belong to the candidate or his/her immediate family members. These

Bonus points (for IIITD): Candidates eligible for IIITD bonus points should filIthese details
carefully and report for document verification as per the dates mentioned in counseling

' Available Choices: As per the eligibility of the candidate, available seat information relating to

' Display Filled choices: Choices entered by the candidate will be displayed so that he/she can
check the already entered information. Candidates are advised to fill maximum number of
choices to increase their chances of early seat allotment. Once admitted, their branch may get
upgraded during next round of counseling depending upon the availability of vacant seats.

3) Filling of Choices

i) All the registered candidates, who have successfully paid their counseling fee, are required
to exercise their choices of University / Institute and Branch in order of their preference.

ii) As per the eligibility of the candidate, available seat information relating to
University/Institute and Branches will be displayed.

iii) Candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish
to fill, from the list of available choices.

ir) The registered candidates are required to see the fee structures and branches of each
university/ institute before filling the choices.

v) It is in the interest of the candidates to fill maximum number of available choices.

Eligibte Female Candidates seeking admission in B. Architecture Program at IGDTUW

4) Choice Locking & Printing of Locked Choices

i) Choices filled by candidates will be locked automaticalh' for that particular round after the
registration period is over. However, a candidate can change his,her choices for every
round as per counseling schedule.
ii) Candidates have to take the print out of the filled choices onl_v.- after closing of choice
filling.

5) New Registration: New registrations will be allowed at the beginning of every round strictly as
per the counseling schedule. For a candidate who wants to register for JAC Delhi 2019 must
follow the Points l-4 of Section 4.2 (mentioned above).
A candidate registering in later rounds will not hold any right to claim the seats allotted to other
candidate, who had participated in earlier rounds. The allotment of a seat, to the newly registered
candidate, will be done purely upon the CRL Rank and IIITD rank (in case of IIIT-D) and the
availability of seats in subsequent rounds.

6) Change of preferences of choices: The choices initially filled by the candidate during the
registration will remain valid throughout the counseling process unless altered/changed by the
candidate during the subsequent rounds.
However, if a candidate wants to change preference of choices, a candidate can do so'at the
beginning of every round strictly as per counseling schedule.

Note: JAC Delhi 2019 will not be held responsible for a candidate's lack of awareness of the
schedule for change ofpreference ofchoices.

7) Allotment of seat (B. Tech.): After completion of choice filling period, including other
parameters, the so
filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of
seats as per CRL Rank in Paper-l of JEE (Main) - 2Ol9 for DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT and as per
IIITD Rank for IIIT-D fMerit Criteria to arrive at IIITD rank is explained in Section 5.1(2)].

8) Allotment of seat (8. Arch.): After the choice filling period is over, besides other parameters, all
candidates who registered for B. Arch. will be considered for allotment of seats ui p.r All India
Merit Rank in Paper-II of JEE (Main) -ZOtg for IGDTUW.

Note: Those candidates who are eligible forboth B. Tech. and B. Arch., theirallotmentof seatto
B. Tech' or B. Arch. will be purely based on the order of choices filled by candidates. So, all
eligible candidates should prioritize between B. Tech. and B. Arch. carefully, during choice
filling.

9) Result Declaration: Result of seat allotment in various rounds will be declared as per the
Counseling Schedule given at JAC Delhi 2019 portaL The selected candidate can take printout of
the provisional seat allotment letter after logging into his/her account on the website
www.-iacdelhi.nic.in. Allotment of seat is purely provisional and is subject to verification of
original certificates and payment of University / Institute admission fee, as applicable, at the time
of reporting at the respective University / Institute.

l0)Admission Fee Payment: A candidate, who is allotted a seat in any of the participating
Universities / Institutes, is required to pay the initial amount of admission fee of Rs.9S,OOOI
(Rupees Ninety Five Thousand only) through ONLINE FEE PAYMENT GATEWAY of JAC
Delhi 2019. The admission fee payment process can be initiated by a selected candidate after
logging into hislher account on JAC website wwwjacdelhi.nic.in.

Candidates should note that admission fee will not be accented in the form of De-"nd D.uft
/ Cheques/ Cash under anv circumstances.

ll)Candidates aie required to report for admission at allotted University / Institute on the date
specified as per the counseling schedule along with admission fee payment receipt and the original
documents / testimonials / certificates required at the time of admission.

lZ)lf a candidate does not report at the respective University / Institute within the specified period,
with the required original documents / testimonials / certificates, his/her allotted seat shall stand
automatically cancelled and the candidate will not have any claim on the seat.

13) If a candidate does not take admission in the provisionally allotted branch in any normal online
round, he/she will not be considered in subsequent online rounds of counseling except the Spot
Round.

14) A candidate, who has been admitted to a branch other than his,&er f,rrst choice, will automatically
be upgraded (depending upon the availability of vacant seats), as per his/her merit in JEE (Main)-
2019 Or IIITD merit (in case of admission in IIIT-D), to a branch of his/her higher preference as
indicated in his/trer online application form.

15)A candidate, who has already been admitted and gets upgraded in next round of counseling,
is not required to report at the upgraded Universityilnstitute.

Note: A candidate not admitted in any round due to non-availability of documents in the earlier
rounds but is allotted a fresh seat in any of the subsequent round (after producing relevant
documents), needs to mandatorily report for admission at the allotted Institute as per counseling
schedule, failing which his/her seat will be automatically cancelled.

16) Upgradation: If the currently allotted seat is not the first choice of a candidate, such candidates
may be allotted a seat from the more preferred choices of the candidate depending upon the CRL
Rank or IIITD Rank (in case of admission in IIIT-D) and the availability of seats in subsequent
rounds of seat allocation.

17)Freezing: In case, a candidate desires to continue in the branch allotted to him/her at the time of
admission or during subsequent upgradation (i.e. does not want himself/herself to be considered
for upgradation to his/her higher preference branches in subsequent rounds of counseling), then
he/she must submit online freezing request through JAC Delhi Website using their login.
Similarly, a branch once upgraded in a pafticular round of counseling will be 'freezed' only
during the days of physical reporting of that round.

BRANCH ONCE FREEZED CANNOT BE REVERTED AND WILL BE TREATED AS


FINAL.

Note: Only admitted and 'non-freezed' candidates will be considered for upgradation
during subsequent round of counseling.

18)A1l candidates, who have not been allotted any seat till Fourth Round but are willing to
participate in the Spot Round of counseling, are required to refer to Section 5.6 for details.

Chapter 5 Online Counseling procedure
5.1 Seat Allotment - General Rules
During this step, the choices submitted by the candidates will be processed centrally and
seats will be allotted in the
order of merit as explained below on the basis of the locked choices. The allotment
result will be available on
the website www jacdelhi.nic.in.

1) NSUT, DTU and IGDTTIW

D No separate mgrit list will be prepared. The provisional seat allotment will be based solely on the

ii) For B. Tech. program, AII India CRL Rank in Paper-I ofJEE (Main) 2019 wiu be considered.
iii) For B. Arch. at IGDTUW, AII India CRL Rank in Paper-II ofJEE (Main) 2019 will be considered.
iv) Other than above merit ranlq provisional seat allotnent will be done by considering all the details provided
by the candidate in his/her ONLINE application like category, region, mrrumum qualification .iigiUility
criterion, choices filled etc.

2) Preparation of Merit list in respect of IIIT Delhi


i) Final percentile score obtained in paper-l in JEE Main 2019.

ii) Bonus points, if any, as defined in Annexure A (maximum: 3.5 points).

iii) The priority list will be based on the total of the above two.

iv) In case of a tie, candidate with a higher rank in JEE Mains 2019 shall rank higher.

5.2 First Round of Counseling


i) The choices filled by the candidates during ONLINE registration will be processed centrally and
the institute wise cutoffs along with the seat allotment result will be available on the
JAC behi
website. However, the choices filled by the candidates can be changed in the
beginning of
every round as per counseling schedule, hence the candidates are iequested to fill/change
their choices carefully.
ii) Online Provisional Admission letter will be generated in the candidate's login account on
JAC
Delhi website for the candidates who get an allotnent in this round. Candidates must take a print
out
of this letter and report to the allotted University/ lnstitute for document verification.

for Spot Round Counseline.
iii) Based on the number of candidates completing the document verification successfully, the vacant seat
available for Second round of counseling will be updated on the JAC Delhi website.

iv) In case, a candidate desires to continue in the branch allotted to him/her at ihe time of admission
(i.e. he/she does not want to be consideredfor upgradation to his/her higher preference branches
in subsequent rounds of counseling), then he/she must submit an online freezing request through
JAC website using candidate's login during days of physical reporting for this round as
mentioned in the counseling schedule.

5.3 Second Round of Counseling


l) Fresh registrations (New) shall be allowed in the beginning of this round (For details of
registration refer Section 4.2).
2) All Registered candidates shall be allowed to change their preference of choices. In order to
change their choice, a candidate MUST visit counseling schedule.

3) The following types of candidates are eligible for seat allotmenUupgradation:


a) Type - I: All Registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in the first round of seat
allotment.

b) TypeII: All candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counseling, paid their
admission fee as required, also got their documents verified and didn't freeze their seat.

c) Type - III: All newly registered candidates of this round.


4) Candidates of Type * I & lll
who get an allotment in this round will have to pay the admission fee
(refer Chapter 6 for details) and reporl to the allotted University / Institute for document verification
along with all the requisite documents and fee payment receipt, as per the counseling schedule
(available on the website www.-iacdelhi.nic.in) failine which his/her allotted seat will stand
automatically cancelled and the candidate will not be considered for subsequent ONLINE rounds of
seatallotment. However. such candidates are eligible for Spot Round Counselirul
5) Candidates of Type - II may either get a seat of their hieher preference choice or their previously
allotted seat will remain unchanged.
6) In case, a candidate, who has been declared as a successful candidate in this round, desires to
continue in the branch allotted to him/her at the time of admission (i.e. he/she does not want to
be considered for upgradation to his/her higher preference branches in subsequent rounds o.f
counseling), then he/she must submit an online freezing request through JAC website using
candidate's login on the day of admission / allotment of branch.

s.4 Third and Fourth Round of Counseling


Same as Second round.

5.5 Upgradation of Admitted candidates [after Fourth Round)

1. Only those candidates who have been admitted but have not withdrawn their admission upto
completion of the document verification stage of fourth round of counseling are eligible for
upgradation.
2. No new allotment is done in this round and only upgradation of the candidates as mentioned in E
Point 1 above is done. Therefore, the candidates are advised to exercise all the possible choices L
-across Universities/Institute while filling the choices, This upgradation is made against the vacant

seats after last date of withdrawal up to which admission fee is refunded after deduction of Rs. rt
1000/- only.

3. There will be upgradation for candidates involving all participating Universities/lnstitutes taking
the maximum rank of last round of counseling cut off of JEE Main Rank (Paper I) in each category
& region for NSUT, DTU & IIITD as base cut off ranks. IIIT Delhi rank will not be considered.

4. After the upgradation (Point 3), there will be internal upgradation within the admitted candidates
of IGDTUW beyond the rank mentioned in Point 3 above. These candidates may participate in
-
the SPOT Round only after due submission of their willingness at the Spot Round Venue.

Note: Candidates who have freezed their choice till fourth round of counseling will not be
considered for upgradation.

5.6 Spot Round (subiect to availability of seats)

The SPOT ROLIND consists of the vacant seats available in DTU, NSUT, IIIT-D & IGDTUW after
upgradation, if any. (Within category I sub-category).

The following candidates are elisible for SPOT Round:


i) The Candidates who have not taken admission in any participating University / Institute up to
Fourth Round.
ii) The candidates who have not been offered any seat up to Fourth Round.
iii) The Candidates who have withdrawn, after taking admission in any participating University /
lnstitute, on or before the last date of withdrawal, their admission fee will be refunded with the
deduction of Rs.l000/- only.
iv) The candidates falling under Section 5.5 Clause 4.
v) The registered candidates
a) who were allotted seat in some round but did not report for admission at DTU / NSUT /
IIITD / IGDTUW.
b) who have not filled any choice during ONLINE Registration process.
