1. The Rule of Thirds
The Rule of Thirds is to imagine breaking down
an image into thirds (both horizontally and
vertically) so that you have no parts.
Examples:

Divide the subject up into three rows and three

columns, and at the points where the vertical and
horizontal lines meet is where your focal points
should be.
2. Fibonacci
The golden ratio, sometimes called
the Fibonacci spiral, golden spiral, phi grid, or
golden mean, is a composition guide. It helps
lead the viewer's eye through the entire photo,
leading to more captivating images.
Examples:
To apply the golden ratio in photography, you can
imagine that spiral over the top of your image. Or
you can create a grid from the 1.618:1 ratio.
3. Lines
Lines are one of the most useful elements
in photography. They can be used to create
powerful images with a strong visual impact.
Leading lines help draw the eye into the image
and focus the viewer's attention on the main
subject. They're also an excellent means of
creating depth and symmetry.
Examples:
When looking for lines, consider that a line isn’t
necessarily a literal line like a railroad track or road
markings. A line can be the division between light and
dark or between different colors or the edge of a wall and
the space next to it.
