ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was to learn if technology such as


gadgets can affect the academic performance of students in Grade 11
of Matanao National High School. Researchers used the survey
questionnaire to evaluate the result. Purposive sampling technique
was employed in the selection of subject in the study. A total of 207
Grade 11 students of Matanao National High School were selected as
respondents of the research. To facilitate the analysis of data, Mean
was employed as the statistical tool. Base on the result, technology,
specifically gadgets did not affect the performance of the students.
Students who have gadgets used it often in different kind of activities
such as doing homeworks, downloading, playing games, sending
message, surfing the web for pleasure (facebook,wattpad,twitter) but
the researchers found out that it didn’t have an impact on their first
term average grade.
