THE MAJESTIC WATERFALLS

The falls being hidden in a deep ravine, as I walk on the winding staircase I can feel the
nature that surrounds the place. Majestic environment that I want to embrace and
harmonize myself to be connected on the Mother Earth. I feel relief to the air the green
leaves that took over and voices that vibrates anywhere. I know that I am here for a reason
to relax and chill.

On July 27, 2019 I was at my trip to Iligan City and visit their famous Tinago Falls. The
waterfall on the Agus River, located in between the town of Linamon and Iligan City,
Lanao del Norte in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. It is one of the main tourist
attractions of Iligan, a city known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. The falls is high, its
very cold waters cascading beautifully into a deep and calm basin-like pool which appears
like a blue-colored lagoon. Under the falls is a small cave where people can enter and listen
to the rumbling waters.

I was with my friends during on that trip, and the questions is how to get there? So
basically from Cagayan de Oro, make your way to Iligan City and transfer to a jeep going to
Buru-un or Linamon or a bus going to Ozamiz or Pagadian. If you are coming from Ozamiz
or Pagadian, catch a bus to Iligan City. Get off in front of Maze Resort at Barangay Buru-
un. From there, transfer to a motorbike (habal-habal), round trip rate is as low as P100.
Entrance fee is P10 per person, cottages can be rented from P100-300, and life jackets can
be rented for P10-P20. Trekking to the falls requires approximately 500 descending steps
called the winding staircase.

Indeed the majestic falls is breathtaking to conquer, how about you? will you visit the
hidden falls?
