CONTENT All I have to do is discuss the parable entitled "The Prodigal
KNOWLEDGE Son". This story is about a rich family and has two sons. The
king's youngest son asked for all his inheritance from his father
so the king divided his property into two. After the youngest
received his inheritance he left their place and spent all his
money. After a few days he ran out of money and the famine
came so he decided to look for a job even if it was just a pig
feeder, it also came to the point that he even ate pig food. He
thought of going back to his father again and he would just ask
for forgiveness. In the distance the king saw his son and in his
great mercy he hugged and kissed his son, his youngest son
apologized because he had sinned in heaven and with his
father. The king told to his servant to prepare a fattened calf and
slaughter it because they would eat and rejoice because his son
died and was resurrected, he was lost and found again. When
the king's eldest son suddenly came from the farm he was
surprised by the noise he heard, he asked their servant and the
servant’s replied that his youngest brother had returned.
He was angry with what he heard and suddenly the king came
out. The eldest said to his father, I have served you for many
years and I have never disobeyed your commands and you
have never given me a goat to have fun with my friends, but
when your son came back you prepared something to eat and
he also wasted your livelihood with the evil women. His father
replied, "Son, you are always with me and everything I have is
yours. To rejoice and be glad is necessary because this brother
of yours died and resurrected. He was lost and found again.
Moral Lesson: Be humble, confess your sins and avoid being
jealous to others.
PEDAGOGICAL Because my students are visual learners it is easier for them to
KNOWLEDGE understand because I provided a video about the parable that
entitled "The Prodigal Son". By making a reflection paper and
asking question of what they have learned from what we have
been discussed earlier, I can determine if my discussion has
been effective and whether we have achieved our learning
objectives.
TECHNOLOGICAL I will use a television and laptop in order for them to watch the
KNOWLEGDE full video about the parable “ The Prodigal Son”..
