Rules and Expectations

Come to class prepared. Please be respectful. So that means remaining in your seat, raising your hand, and not lining up
at the door. Electronic devices are to be put away during instruction. During classroom work time, phone are allowed for
listening to music with the use of headphones. Only beverages with fully closed lids are allowed in the classroom. Do
your own work. Refer to the academic honesty policy described in the student code of conduct.

Extra Credit
Extra credit opportunities are offered to the entire class, they will not be offered on an individual basis. Extra credit will
not exceed more than 5% of the overall grade.

General Information
Homework will most likely be given to students in class, with time in class to finish it. Random
homework checks will be done for a grade.. Most homework can be obtained in advance, with
notice. I understand that things happen and things get in the way, so if you feel you have a
justified reason for an extension on an assignment do not hesitate to contact Ms. Ash. Notes and
in class activities are required. Grades can be accessed via PowerSchool and are updated at the
convenience of the teacher. Ms. Ash is available before and after school by appointment for
additional help. Ms. Ash wants every student to succeed so she will be accommodating and
flexible with times that work best for the student.

Absences
Check the class calendar for absent work. Homework that is due the day of your absence should be turned in the day
you return. It is your responsibility to obtain, and/or make arrangements to do so, any missed notes, work, or activities
for the time you were absent. Generally, you have 1-2 days per absence to turn in homework.
