It has been concluded that dairy industry has been recognized as an

important sector for development and poverty reduction in the country. This
has played a major role in decreasing the unemployment rate in the country.
This dairy sector is focused on processing of animal milk i.e. from cow,
buffalo, sheep, goat for human consumption and benefits. Raw milk is
processed into consumable milk and different products are make like
cheeses, butter, ghee, khoa, ice-cream, etc. Human life is incomplete without
the use of dairy product so it is regarded as one of the important sector.
There are many dairy related institutions in Nepal like DDC, NDDB, DLS,
etc , theses dairy sector contributes 60% of livestock sector to GDP.
