An Inspiring Story About Sylvester Stallone
An Inspiring Story About Sylvester Stallone
1 – Not a lot of people know this but Sylvester Stallone’s problems literally
started at birth. An accident by the doctors during the labor process severed a
nerve which resulted in the left side of Stallone’s face being paralyzed.
2 – The paralysis left him with not only another appearance, but also slurred
speech which nearly doomed him of his dream of becoming an actor. He moved
to New York City to start his career in acting, but no one would hire him.
3 – He was evicted from his apartment and was so broke that he was forced to
sleep at a New York City bus station for three weeks. He knew he had hit rock
bottom when he was forced to sell his dog, his best friend, for $25 to a
stranger just so he could feed himself.
4 – Then one day while watching Muhammad Ali in a boxing match, he got this
idea for a screenplay. He stayed up all day and all night, eventually writing
Rocky in just three days. He pitched the idea to some producers who offered to
buy it for a 425 grand, but they wouldn’t allow Stallone to act in the movie.
5 – Despite the fact that he was flat broke, he turned down the offer, his
dream was to be an actor and he wouldn’t settle for anything less. A few weeks
later, the same producers offered him two hundred grand more than they did
originally, but Stallone still turned them down.
6 – Eventually, the producers allowed him to act in the movie, but only paid
him 35 grand. He immediately used thousands of dollars from his earnings
to track down and buy back his dog, his best friend, who even made an
appearance in Rocky.
7 – The film ended up making two hundred million dollars and made Stallone a
man who was once so broke that he had to sell his own dog into one of the
most prolific actors in the industry.
[On the screen] Life’s not about how hard of a hit you can give, it’s about how
many you can take, and still keep moving forward.

Ele ficou acordado o dia todo e a noite
toda, resultando em escrever Rocky em apenas três dias. Ele lançou a ideia
