K1 setting:

A (flow Target value)

T (alarm delay)

C (clearing the total cumulative flow, namely clearing the cumulative value on the main display )

A value is 0, the K1 parameter is invalid.

T value is 0, when the flow accumulates to value A, the relay K1 is pull one time (50 ms).

T value is not 0, when the flow accumulates value A, the relay K1 will disconnect after pulls and
delays T seconds , and re accumulate the flow .

C value for the 'No' means not clearing the cumulative flow value; for 'Yes' means measuring
cumulative flow and clearing 0.

For example: A 01.20 m3 T 10 second C Yes

When the flow reaches 1.20m3, K1 pull, 10 seconds later the K1 reply, and clearing 0 for total
cumulative flow.

parameter must be accurate, directly affecting the level of accuracy of measurement. )

3 To choose of the corresponding 'sink' code according to actual condition, if it is the Parshall flume
can also be set to '00' code and then set into the C and N values of Parshall flume. (set correctly
should display the correct level and flow value)

4 Set up the Current parameter according to the actual needs, 485 interface parameters, or relay
parameter. (unnecessary to mention it.)

5 To inspect parameters "debugging"if is' 1 ' or not, if is' 1 ', pls set it into' 0'. If the parameter is set
to '0', the cumulative flow will be increased, otherwise the cumulative flow will remain unchanged.

The seventh chapter

Volume technical reference structure and mounting groove weir

Select the type of measuring weir groove, need to consider the flow in the channel, the flow state of
the water in the channel, and whether form the free flow or not. If the flow rate is less than 40
liters/sec, to choose the angled triangle weir in general. If the flow rate is more than 40 liters/sec, to
choose the Parshall cell in general. If the flow rate is more than 40 liters/sec,and the water level in
channels is large at the same time, you could use the rectangular weir.
After the installation of the weir plate, there will form a "small waterfall" in the weir downstream.
Weir groove could be made from glass steel, and processing size should be accurate. The key of
Triangular weir and rectangular weir is the size, and more exactly. The side surface towards the
entering water should be smooth. Parshall groove size must be accurate, and the interior surface
should be smooth. The key of throat is the size, and more accurate.
11
1, Right angled triangle weir

Below is the processing map of the right angled triangle weir. Water level and flow correspondence
such as the below table. Note that the upstream channel width of the installation right angled
triangle weir is 600mm, the height of triangle vertex angle and the upper reaches canal bottom is
250mm. Water level--flow list has existed in the weir plate of the flow meter.

12
The water level of triangular weir in the channels of the installation and triangular weir zero

Triangular weir is positioned on the channel as above. Weir plate is to the vertical, and is to be
installed in the channel axis. When machining triangular weir, may make the vertex into a round,
pay attention to the equal zero position in determining the water level. Node level triangular weir
zeros should on the crossover point in triangle weir side extend line. The instrument probe should
be installed in the upstream position 0.5m ~ 1m distance to the weir plate.

2, Rectangular weir

Rectangular weir can be processed according the following drawing. Water level and flow
corresponding relationship as shown in table 2、3、4 and 5. Relationship between water level and
flow of rectangular weir mainly depends on the weir width "b". Also is relative with the upstream
channel width "B" and the weir height "P". Below are 4 commonly types of rectangular weir, and
could satisfy with most of the application places generally.

installed on the channel axis. The instrument probe should be installed in the position 0.5m ~ 1 m
away from the weir plate.

3, Parshall flume

The structure of the Parshall groove is the following figure. The Marked size of it is the throat width
"b".First of all, according to the maximum flow application needs, from "appendix 2#, tank water
level-flow formula" to find the appropriate throat width "b" for Parshall flume. Again from
“appendix 1#, groove structure size" to find out other sizes equal to the" b " corresponding throat
width. Such as "L", "N", "B1" and "L1" etc.

15
The relationship between the Parshall flume water level and flow is usually like formula: Q=C*han .
According to the throat width "b", from "appendix 2#, tank water level - flow formula" to find out
the corresponding formula. Point to point to enter into the water level value, calculate the
corresponding flow.

The instruments have been pre stored the tank level flow meter list. Table 6# and 7# are discharge
relation of throat width 0.025m、0.051m for water level.
