Compare and contrast the life of an

ordinary person and that of a famous person.

Lifestyle is a term used to refer to the interest, opinions, and behaviour of various

31). Completely different classes of individuals have different lifestyles. As an example, the
lifestyle of ordinary people and famous people. Who is an ordinary person and who is a
famous person? An ordinary person is someone who follows how things stand. A person who
does things that are accepted by society as they are supposed to be done. Usually, an ordinary
person lives a simple common life and have an equivalent daily routine. Meanwhile, a famous
person is someone who is in limelight. For example, Will Smith, Cristiano Ronaldo and Justin
Bieber. They are very well known and are easily recognized in public. Most of us green-eyed
the life lived by a famous person. The differences and similarities in the life of an ordinary
person and that of a famous person can be seen in their privacy, appearance, earnings, needs
and education.
One of the main differences between an ordinary person and a famous person is
privacy. Truthfully, ordinary people would have enough privacy in their life. Ordinary people
can do anything they wanted to do in their life without suddenly being approached or
bothered by their ‘fans’. Their life is far free from being spattered. They can talk, walk, date,
dance and have fun however they want to. For instance, a girl or boy can get married to
whoever they love without taking into count his or her image or his work will be affected by
his choice of bride or bridegroom. Unlike ordinary people, a famous person doesn’t have
much privacy. All their life activities were spattered all around the world. They don’t want
their personal life stories like their family vacations, family problems and health problems to
be spattered. They usually personalize all those things, but this normally doesn’t happen. This
is because their fans want to know every single thing that occurs in their private life. So, their
fans try to track down their life activities. After obtaining all the details, they discuss and
share the details with the people around them. Sometimes, they also post these details on
social media like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. So, this is why a famous person often
fails to maintain their privacy.
The next difference between an ordinary person and a famous person is their
appearance. A good appearance is the main thing that keeps their profession going. A famous
person must perpetually keep the appearance fit and presentable. Being famous, they need to
stabilize their life and plan everything right. They need to avoid acne or even pimples

because people would notice the smallest things about them. So, they have to change their
appearance and whatever is necessary according to trend and fans’ expectations. Most
famous personalities are willing to go under the knife to maintain their fan base. Honestly, it
is very strenuous for a famous person because they have to constantly keep changing their
appearance, not based on their preferable look but based on the trend and fans’ expectations.
Going around would not be a fun activity because some strangers would come at you to ask
for a photograph or a hand signature. Of course, being recognized and famous sounds fun but
when going out to bond with your family, would it be fun if someone suddenly came to you
and interrupts your family activity? Dressing perfect even going to the nearest store to buy
groceries because people might recognize you and snap a random picture of you. On the other
hand, ordinary people can appear however they had planned on, without having any worries
about others’ condemnation towards them. They don’t have to think about others' opinions
about their appearance, they even can go to a market wearing nightwear, and nobody would
bat an eye. They can truly present themselves with their types of clothing without receiving
neither counterblasts nor worrying about losing status and image in the industry.
Other than that, by being famous, companies would sponsor you for featuring or
promoting their product. Famous people would earn from their popularity. The more popular
they are, the more money they would get. If people recognized them, for example in movie
casts, people would be more interested to buy and watch the movie, compared to the movie
where nobody knows who the actors are. Angelina Jolie, a famous actor, earns her money and
salary from acting. Her net worth is estimated to be more or less around $100 million. The
more recognized and famous she is, the higher her net worth is; therefore, her earnings would
be higher too due to the high demand she gets for the people and producers who requests for
her to act in their movie. This makes the life of a famous person much easier compared to an
ordinary person because if a famous person promotes a product, their fans or the society
would be more attracted to it because they would usually follow and rely on whatever the
famous person does. Sometimes, the monthly salary of a famous person could beat the salary
of a successful engineer or a doctor and the work would be twice as much easier compared to
those professional careers that took years to be earned. As long as you have the confidence to
talk, the right platform and connection to start your career and the ‘photogenic’ face to
always appear appealing in front of a camera or a crowd, you are already eligible to build
your career as a famous person. You can either be an actor, or even an influencer on social
media like Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook. Sometimes on Youtube, by doing ads and
constantly making videos that would become a hit, you could achieve around RM200,000 a

month, especially if your videos reach around 200 to 400 thousand viewers per video. An
influencer on Instagram that only does paid review on Instagram and has around 1 million
followers on Instagram could have profit around RM10,000 a month. The average salary of a
doctor in a private hospital or clinic is RM7,000 per month. Only Specialists Will Benefit.

be achieved but being an influencer could only take you around months to years, without
actually having to have any qualifications to submit. It does not take much and long for
someone to be famous compared to someone who wants to have a very delicate profession
like doctors, engineers, and architects.
Furthermore, there are also similarities in between a famous person and an ordinary
person. One of the similarities is the needs of both parties. Both of them are human beings,
and they also need the same things to survive like food, shelter and water. They cannot
survive days without those needs, just like any living things. Although celebrities and famous
people could easily get what they want, but if they do not get what they need, they also could
not survive living. Both parties also need medical attention when they get sick because no
matter how rich you can get; you will always be mortal. No amount of money can spare your
life if you are caught in a deadly disease that needs serious medical attention. Other than that
they also need a good level of education. Education is the only thing that could help them to
get a good job and earn money permanently. As said by John Adams “There are two
educations. One should teach us how to make a living and the other how to live”, education
will teach both. This quote meant that when we study, we could learn a lot which includes on
how to earn money and how to survive in this world. So, everyone needs to learn in order to
keep surviving and to earn money no matter how famous they are because without those
knowledges, they cannot become successful.
In a nutshell, being a famous person and being an ordinary person, both have their
advantages. By being a famous person, you could easily get profit and money however the
life of an ordinary person is much more relaxed, and they have more privacy if compared to
the life of a famous person. Overall, we should be grateful for the life that we have been
given. We should not wish for anything more and we should be happy and enjoy ourselves.
