USING STRATEGIC INTERVENTION MATERIAL (SIM) IN

ENHANCING GRADE FIVE PUPILS OF PERFORMANCE IN


ARALING PANLIPUNAN

Abstract

The enhancement of this Using SIM enhancing grade five


pupils of performance in Araling Panlipunan as a tool on pupils
performance for Araling Panlipunan was conducted a Pre-test and
Post test towards my class pupils written comments and teacher`s
observation were used to record changes performance in learning.

In this study, I have observation was well thoroughly concluded


that it has enhancing the grade five pupils of performance for
learning Araling Panlipunan .

Problem

In my class , I am so concerned that there are pupils are low


performance in Araling Panlipunan . Based from observation have
less interest in listening and participating during our class
discussions even on task group activity .We know that inculcating
history has difficulty to kids ,thats the cause of the low
performance in the class.
During this period I began to introduce them with the SIM have
prepared for them .

Strategy

Indeed, I`ve done such activities which are discussions and


group work activity .Therefore , I`ve decided to explore another
swing of strategy . I have tried the SIM had prepared , since then
using this tool the learners are boosting to learn thoroughly,
because today as we can observe some disturbances with our
students to our environment like internet. Some of them are
engaged in other way of interest ,not focusing on study .

We must teacher know how to deal their interests and


behaviors not being shifted on bad . Hence , SIM is very useful for
them ..It gives then different activities for learning enhancement .
Findings

I therefore observed that my pupils ,Using Strategic


Intervention Materials (SIM) in enchancing Grade five pupils level
of performance in Araling Panlipunan gained interest to learn
through using the tool itself based on the Pre-test and Post test
conducted.

But since then on , the intervention exercised by the learners


made as a spring board to learn more from the SIM multi-learning
exercises for the learners. They`ve more exercises to learn order
to learn the lesson well.

Reflection

As a mentor to our classroom it`s our huge task and have


responsibility to have a wide and flexible understanding
,particularly on learning needs of my learners using also
differentiated instruction may else help in order to meet the
different learning styles of the children with consideration on their
attitudes specially the less fortunate pupils regarding their
academic performance.

I`ve realized that the learners need to be evaluated in order for


us to determine learning capabilities and their learning strengths
and weaknesses .

Briefly , diligence and love of a teacher would be the


mechanism to uphold them in order to maintain good rapport with
teacher and learners, by providing personalized strategy like SIM a
tool that enhances their learning interest and ability which initiates
them to comprehend and explore things and help the children to
develop focus and gain learning through different activities from
the SIM methodology of teaching .
