Procedure in hplc

A 0.2 g oil sample was dissolved in 10.0 mL of acetone and homogenized by stirring. The
mixture was filtered through a 0.22 mL disposable LC filter disk and analyzed by HPLC under
the following conditions. All the standard solutions underwent the same treatment. To
perform the separation of triacylglycerols, HPLC was used with column

TAG analysis concept

Triacylglycerides were separated according to their degree of unsaturation and molecular


weight. Also the TAG peaks were identified by retention times of TAG standards.

Where TC is total carbon number of acyl group and DB is total number of double bonds in TG
[13]. In the present work, the triacylglycerides are effectively separated by HPLC on
reversed-phase (RP) columns.
