BACKROUND RESEARCH

 In many countries in the world , the number of people resorting


to cohabitation is increasing. In the USA the number of couples
involved with cohabitation reached 7.8 million in 2012 while in
the United Kingdom the number was 2.9 million in 2012. In
Malaysia ,the trend to cohabit is also increasingly common and
accepted. The question arises whether this practice brings
benefit to the parties involved as well as to the children.

 To identify further about PTSN students understanding about


cohabitation and marriage

 To identify student perception on cohabitation.

 To find out how many PTSN student are ready to undertake


marital duties .

 To know the rationality of the PTSN student to choose either


cohabitation or marriage .
METHODOLOGY

37 survey questions were constructed in order to measure student perception
towards the specified topic. The 37 questions were carefully designed to
correspond the research objective and research problems stated in the
research . The suggested answers are ranging from optional answers,likers
scales and yes-no answers .The researchers distribute the questionnaire to the
PTSN student on random basis .

CONCLUSION

 Living together outside of marriage is a big problem in


society .People who decide to cohabit hugely compromise
the stability of their relationship , the well-being of any
children involved,and even their health. Since all of these
issues usually have ways of showing upon their own
anyway , people should try to avoid moving in together
before marriage and potentially making them worse.
