PENGENALAN
Landskap – suatu permandangan luaran /
permukaan bumi yang dihasilkan dari keadaan
semulajadi / binaan

Ia juga satu bidang seni kreatif utk mengolah satu


permukaan bumi dengan menggunakan unsur –
unsur asli binaan agar lebih berfungsi dan
menarik.

Jenis-jenis landskap :-
a) Soft Landscape
b) Hard Landscape
apa itu Senibina Landskap?
Satu bidang yang melibatkan
unsur-unsur perancangan serta
rekabentuk tanah dan air untuk
membentuk ruang luaran yang
praktikal serta mempunyai nilai-
nilai keselesaan hidup pada
tempat-tempat tinggal, kerja
atau bermain.

Ianya adalah merupakan


gabungan seni dan sains yang
berkait dengan pembentukan
landskap kita untuk kegunaan
manusia secara produktif serta
mempunyai nilai-nilai estetik

Philosophy of Landscape
DEFINITION
Landscaping is how we use or how we decorate
compound outside a building. Or in other word the
decoration of land where we want to. We can
decorate the land using two techniques, soft cape or
hard cape.

We can use either one or usually people use the


combination of both of them.
WHAT IS
LANDSCAPE ?
“ The geological structure of land , its soils, animals
and its vegetation; the pattern of human activity –
fields, forests, settlements and local industries “

planning,designing, and management for the public

SOFT CAPE

Soft cape is the using of plant or grass or etc. to


decorate earth surface, such as Acalypha
Siemensis ( Dedaun Teh ), planted
stilmutaniously to be form like fence and
Cynodon Dactylon (rumput ) for the turfing. Large
plants also been used as soft cape such as
Pterocerpus Indicus ( pokok sena ) and etc. Huge
plant is very useful for landscape, it is because
it’s not only been used to make the landscape
look beautiful, it’s also make the soil stronger
and can be used as shelter from the hot
sunshine. As flower tree is no need to be
mentioned because it is well known of it’s beauty
for landscaping.

lift themselves up towards the sunlight.

HARD CAPE

Hard cape is the using of material other than tree


and plant. It is the using of structure built by homo
sapiens to decorate earth surface. There are
several type of hard cape, built by wood, concrete,
combination of wood and concrete and other hard
materials.

As for example for hard cape, replica of fruits,


animals, things like congkak, keris and etc. Hard
cape also can be useful to people such as wakaf,
special made sea-saw and etc. It means that hard
cape were built for several purpose not only to
make the compound beautiful.
DEFINATION OF SOFT LANDSCAPE

• Referred to element of the plants whether trees,


climbers, shrubs, herbs or ground covers.
• Landscape more to organic which its element
depends on nature and times.
• Laying out of an area where its design element
depends on natural features.
CONCEPT
• Concept project is to make the existing compound
beautiful and useful for people, for example, to make
the compound for recreational use. From a dull
scenery to place for taking a break and maybe for
picnic.

• Using flower such as Cuphea can make place more


beautiful and colourful and Acalypha Siemensis as
fence can make the place well organize and
attractive. The usage of high tree such as
Pterrocarpus and a man-made pond can cool down
the temperature on hot sunny day as we know that
big tree give shade and water can absorb heat very
well.

GARDEN DESIGN
• The setting of object must be appropriate
• Should be set to harmonise with each
other
• Unpleasant objects should be screened off
FORMAL DESIGN
• Often has geometric forms and laid out in
regular forms such straight lines, circles,
triangles, squares and oval
• The beauty of symmetry becomes evident
in the well-balanced form of a formal
garden
INFORMAL DESIGN
• This style does not employ geometric
forms and effort are made to produce a
natural effect ( artificiality )
• Spaciousness is absolutely necessary for
this design
• Example : japanese-style garden
