INVITATION TO PARTIES
You received a letter from your school friend Ben, who has invited you to a
special party which he is organizing for a friend of yours who is moving to
another city. Write him/her your answer.

Para 1: greeting, thanks for invitation.
Main body
Para2, 3: suggest you could help Ben prepare for the party, offer some ideas of a
present for your friend.
Conclusion
Para 4: closing remarks: end the letter wishing good luck; express certainty the
weather will be fine.

STUDYING
Write an article giving your tips for beating stress in studies:
 describe the stressful situations which you typically experience;
 write how you prevent yourself from getting stressed;
 say how you relax and unwind if you’re feeling stressed.

LIFE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY

Imagine you are an English student, Jane, living and studying in Ukraine. Write
an email from Jane to her friend in England, describing some of the differences
she has living in another country.

Introduction
Para 1: greeting, some words about your new place.
Main body
Para 2: people (friendlier/ not as friendly, more/ less reserved, etc.; ) studying
(more/ less relaxed, more/ fewer holidays, shorter / longer hours, etc.).
Para 3: the food (spicier, less/ more vegetarian options, tastier, etc.), the climate
(hotter/ colder, wetter/ drier etc.).
Conclusion
Para 4: summarize how you feel in new environment; closing remarks; your
signature.
