Introduction
New software for DanelecConnect has been released, and is available for download on the Danelec Marine
partnersite. The following new software releases are available:
A new installation manual for the VRS 002 has also been released.
The new VRS 002 firmware version 3.32 contains the following new features/changes:
Version 3.32 is a major update from the original released version 2.xx and previous version 3.xx. The
configuration interface has been changed and there are a number of new features included. It is therefore
very important to read the newly released manual as well as study the DanelecConnect training
videos/documents available on the Danelec Marine partnersite.
It is mandatory to install the latest version of the firmware when installing a new VRS 002.
Already installed VRS 002 should be updated to the latest version when possible - either remotely if a control
server has been set up, or when attending the unit for service.

When upgrading a VRS 002 with firmware version 2.xx, please note that a special upgrade file must be
used. This file is called “VRS002FirmwareUpdatev3.32(from v2.xx only)”. It is not possible to use the normal
v3.32 upgrade file to upgrade a unit running on version 2.xx.
When upgraded from version 2.xx to 3.xx, please note that a license must also be acquired and installed in
the VRS 002 if the unit is configured to send reports containing more than 8 data tags.
The Remote Management Tool version 1.21 contains a new relative/absolute time feature for extracting VDR
data.
When extracting data in relative mode, an offset from current time can be set from 0 to 30 days and the
duration of the extraction from selected offset and back in time can be set from 5 minutes to 2 days (48
hours).
When extracting data in absolute time mode, the start and end time of the extraction can be specified either
in local or UTC time. Note, that the start time must be older than the end time. A maximum of 48 hours can
be extracted. If a time interval larger than 48 hours is selected, the program will display an error.
