NHS Peer Tutoring:

Tutoring is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays during both lunches in room 242. We also offer Mondays after school in
room 242 from 2:30-3:30 as long as it is not a Monday when we have a staff meeting. Mrs. Watson and I supervise tutoring.
The actual tutors are NHS members. These are juniors and seniors who are earning service hours.
Please do not send students to tutoring without signing them up through the link that Mr. Shaffer sent. Here is the link.
The link is also on the intervention tab of the staff site. If you are assigning a student to tutoring, it is your responsibility to
communicate that to the student.
During lunch, it is typically best to tell the student to go get lunch first in the cafeteria if they need to purchase lunch,
and then come to room 242. If you are assigning a student to lunch tutoring, please have that conversation with the student
prior to the day they are assigned. If they are buying lunch, you will need to provide them with a lunch pass so that they are
able to leave the cafeteria and come to room 242.
Our NHS students are great tutors, but they are not teachers and are not equipped to lesson plan. If you are assigning a
student to lunch tutoring, please make sure they have something specific to work on. You can either send the work with the
student, or you can send it to either Mrs. Watson or myself. Paper copies or e-mailed work are fine.
Mrs. Watson and I will add comments to the spreadsheet to let you know if the student showed up or not.

Attendance Reminder:
Duties: Please remember it is your responsibility to find coverage if you are not going to be at your assigned duty during the
week. There were several lunch duty slots that had no coverage this week. Thank you for your help with maintaining safety and
security for our students.

Staff Site: Please remember to check the staff site each day for daily announcements.

Upcoming Sanderson Tour Dates:

March 17, April 21, May 12, and May 19
All tours begin at 12:30 pm.
