IMPORTANT WORK DONE ON VARIOUS PROJECTS IN INDIA AND ABROAD :

• Subansiri Lower Project on Subansiri River in Arunachal Pradesh/Assam

As the Supervisor of this model studies, responsible for the construction and conduct of hydraulic
model studies on spillway and aerator structure. PC based data acquisition system was used to
measure the pressures on spillway profile and to ascertain the suitability of spillway profile and
aerator size for its sustainable operations. Innovative technology was employed to measure air
concentration in a spillway overflow to assess the cavitations potential. Result of model studies
forwarded to project vide Technical Report No 5004.

• Siang Lower Project on Siang River in Arunachal Pradesh. Model studies were conducted
for assessing flow conditions in the reservoir as well as downstream of power house to suggest
remedial measures. Increase in the height of divide wall was suggested to prevent formation of
return flows in energy dissipater area. Result of model studies forwarded to project vide Technical
Report No. 5006.

• Punatsangchhu-I Project on Punatsangchhu River in Bhutan. Model was constructed to

assess vortex formation and return flow zones near power intake, Result of model studies
forwarded to project vide Technical Report No.5230

• Chuzachen Project on Chuzachen River in Sikkim.- 3 D comprehensive model constructed

to assess the approach flow conditions near power intake, spillway profile, discharging
capacity. Result of model studies forwarded to project vide Technical Report No.4531
