Blood is Thicker than Water.

The weather and surrounding environment were changing – winter, spring, summer and
autumn marked that a year had passed. An amethyst-purple tint invades the late summer
skies before the autumn approaches, the stars were glowing like beacons for the lost souls
of the world and the moon bathed the earth with its luminous glow. It has been a years since
Teresa went out from her parents house as she got into a big fought with her older sister.
When she saw her friends with their siblings went out, laughed and shared their problems
together, she will burst in tears. She recalled all memories that she had with her sister. But,
the memories turned into wrath and hatred. The hatred was watered with tears and sunned
with soft deceitful wiles. Day by day, the hatred was getting bigger till it bore a big poison
tree.

A years ago, Teresa and her older sister, Camelia were high school students. In ninth
grade, Teresa was a top student and always got a very high marks. She also represented
her school in debate and robotic project. These made her a prodigious student who excelled
in everything and she was a well-known student among the administrators, teachers and
students in the school. After that, Teresa grade skipped from ninth grade to eleventh grade
as she performed well in studies and she was awarded as the academically talented student
in the school. But, the eleventh grade was not an enjoyable time for her. She went into the
same class as her older sister although she was two years younger than her. The
administrators put them in the same class because they thought that it would help Teresa in
her study. But, the things was getting harder for her. She fought with her older sister’s
friends a lot. They had picked fights with her, picked on her, saying that she was impudent
despite her young age.

Camelia had always jealous with her younger sister because she got everything that
she wanted as she performed well in exam. She treated her younger sister like a stranger
even when they were having dinner together at home. One day, Camelia said to her parents
that she wanted to spend her weekends with Teresa. Her parents were very happy and
allowed Camelia to bring her sister went out because they knew that the two sisters always
fought with each other almost everyday. They thought that, if Camelia and Teresa spend
more time together their relationship will get closer.

On the evening, Camelia brought Teresa to an amusement park at the countryside.

Along the way, there was a sale sign hung on the fence and Teresa noticed that there was
no people who came to play at the amusement park. Suddenly, Camelia told Teresa that she
was very thirsty and wanted to buy a bottle of water. Teresa wanted to follow her older sister
as she felt very uncomfortable to stay alone but she mocked her and said that she was a
scaredy-cat and coward. As Teresa was very bored waiting for her sister at the carousel, she
decided to walk around the amusement park. Unfortunately, the carousel behind her started
to shake and in a blink of an eyes it fell on her before she could save herself.

Camelia deceived her younger sister and made an excuse to buy a bottle of water.
But, she had already planned to left Teresa alone at the amusement park. She thought that
when Teresa was not home, her parents will pamper and fulfil all her wish. Camelia drove
her car rapidly after she leave her younger sister. She felt very satisfied and came back
home happily. When she arrived at home, her parents asked where was Teresa. Camelia
lied to them that Teresa wanted to stay at her friend’s house so she decided to come back
home early.

Teresa groaned in pain as the carousel fell on her body. She tried to move the
carousel will all her might but it was too big and heavy. She screamed and called for a help.
But, there was no people who heard her scream except an old man who was looking for a
land to be purchase. He found a land for sale at the amusement park and walked around it.
While walking, he saw a young girl who was unconscious and her head bleed so much. The
girl was Teresa. He quickly brought Teresa to the hospital nearby. Its took them thirty
minutes to reach at the hospital. Her head was bleeding excessively. Luckily, they reached
at the hospital on time and Teresa was taken into the operating room. The hospital called
Teresa’s parent to inform about their daughter who had injured badly and need to undergo
the surgery immediately.

Teresa’s parents and her older sister were very shock to hear the news and quickly
went to the hospital. As they reached the hospital, Teresa was operated by the doctors so
they decided to meet the old man who saved Teresa in order to thank him for his kindness to
save their daughter. The parents asked Camelia about what had truly happened and why did
she told them a lie about where Teresa was at that time. Camelia was in silence and could
not tell them the truth. Camelia felt very scared and terrified. She was trembling and crying
out loud as she felt guilty of making her sister injured badly. She started to blame herself for
her stupid action and became trauma of what had happened. The doctors said that Teresa’s
injury was not severe but she needed to stay at the hospital for a week in order to monitor
her health.
After a weeks, Teresa went back home as her condition became more stable. At
home, Camelia locked herself in the room and did not want to meet anybody included her
own parents. Teresa wanted to meet and greet Camelia but every time she showed her face,
Camelia would get angry and scream as loud as she can. Camelia also tried to hurt herself if
Teresa did not want to budge from her room. Every night, Camelia would be awaken from
her sleep because she had a nightmare about the incident happened on Teresa at the
amusement park. Day by day, her trauma was getting worsen and her parents decided to
bring Camelia for post-traumatic stress disorder treatment.

Teresa decided to move out from the house as she felt very angry of how Camelia
treating her. Her heart shattered into pieces because Camelia acted to be sick despite of
admitting her mistake. Teresa wrote a letter to her parents about her disappointment. She
told them that she wanted to continue her study and achieved her dream to be a
businesswomen. Teresa searched a hostel by her own to stay and she had to work part-time
to pay for her tuition fee and hostel rent as she did not want to take the money given by her
parents.

Teresa worked as a part-time worker at the coffee shop. She would be the last
person to close the coffee shop. One night, Teresa walked back to her hostel. On her way
back hostel, a man strolled down the street in the dim of the night light. She thought that the
man was waiting for someone. As she continued her walked, she felt that someone was
following her from the behind. She quickly walked on the street but the man ran and
snatched her bag. Teresa grabbed her bag tightly and tried to fight back. But, the thief was
very strong and he held a knife on his left hand.

That night, Camelia decided to find her sister around the university area. While she
was driving, she saw an incident where a woman got snatched and nearly stabbed. She
acted quickly and fought bravely with the thief using her taekwondo skills. Camelia managed
to knock down the thief and got the victim’s bag. Surprisingly, she found out that the woman
she tried to save was her younger sister. Teresa also was in shock to woman in front of her.
The moment made Teresa forgot all her wrath towards her sister. Teresa took her bag from
Camelia. She noticed that her bag was covered by blood. She straight away looked on
Camelia’s hand and saw a wound. Camelia got the wound when she tried to fight against the
thief. Teresa felt very worried and brought Camelia back to her hostel. She quietly treated
the wound with first aid.
While waiting for her younger sister to cover her bruise, Camelia bravely seek for an
apologize from Teresa and told her that she had been searching Teresa for a very long time.
Teresa forgave her mistake and thanked her sister for her willingness to sacrifice herself in
order to save Teresa from the thief. Camelia cried and hugged her younger sister. She
