Piano:

Some simple preparation inside the piano is required: the pianist will need 4 sharpened pencils to be inserted between the 2nd and the 3rd
strings.The pencil's tip faces down making easier its insertion between the strings.The pianist must slide the pencil lenghtwise until find
the (approximate) corresponding harmonic notated at the score.Before inserting the pencil is recommended to hold down the dump pedal to avoid
damaging the strings dampers.

Voice:

The pianist must sing the haiku in a traditional or folksong style, adding lot of small glissandi, portamentos, short screamings and even
some Sprechgesang. Following the non-orthodox staff, the pianist should choose three pitches (2 treble, 1 low). The pitches can be taken from
ordinary diatonic scale or simply to be consisted of three different sounds. The western transliteration of Japanese letters is given next
to the haiku, as well its English equivalent. The rhythm should be free and the synchronization with the piano part should isn't necessary.
The space between 'notes' should give the performer a vague notion of duration, i.e. the wider the space the longer the duration.
