Director
of
Business
Development
Reporting
to:
Chief
Executive
Role
overview:
The
primary
purpose
of
this
role
is
to:
• Raise
the
profile
of
Reall
• Develop
and
grow
Reall’s
enterprise
network
through
the
development
of
a
franchising
model
and
capacity
building
Housing
Development
Enterprises
• Increase
financial
investment
into
the
network
Reall
is
a
fast-‐paced
and
ambitious
international
development
organisation

shifting
requirements.

candidate
will
be
strategic
with
an
entrepreneurial
mind-‐set,
adaptable
and

Key responsibilities:
1. Strategy
• Develop
and
execute
the
Reall
Network
market/network
development
strategy
• Develop
the
brand
strategy
across
the
global
Reall
Network
• Identify
and
develop
Reall’s
unique
selling
propositions
and
differentiators
4. Client/Investor
Management
• Work
with
technical
staff
and
other
internal
colleagues
to
meet
customer/investor
needs
• Manage
investor
relationships
to
ensure
ongoing
mutual
benefit
• Arrange
and
participate
in
internal
and
external
client
debriefs
5. Leadership
• Develop
and
inspire
a
team
to
implement
the
strategy
and
to
achieve
objectives
and
targets
• Ensure
all
team
members
represent
Reall
in
the
best
light
• Undertake
training
and
mentoring
to
business
developers
and
other
staff

• Participate
in
strategy
reviews,
strategy
development
and
the
operationalisation
thereof
• Serve

the

post
is
based
in
Coventry,
and
involves
travel
both
within
the
UK
and
internationally

post-‐holder
will
work
as
part
of
a
team
where

co-‐operation

communication
are
of
particular
importance
Compensation
package:
Salary
Competitive,
negotiable
depending
on
experience
Location
Coventry
Normal
office
hours
are
9:00am
to
5:00pm,
Monday
to
Friday.
Additional
work
is
normally

line
with
job
responsibilities

days
plus

Education:
Experience:
Essential:
Consolidated
experience
working
in
a
senior
marketing,
sales
or
franchising
role
within
start-‐up,
social
or
commercial
enterprise
organisations,
managing
teams
engaged
in
marketing,
sales,
investment,
fundraising
and
communications
Preferable:
The
above
including
a
thorough
knowledge
of
the
social
enterprise,
development
and
impact
investment
context
and
market,
the
relevant
international
influencers
and
stakeholders,
policies
and
potential.
A
proven
track
record
of
raising
significant
value/income.
Desirable:
• Knowledge
of
the
development
finance,
impact
investment
and
grant-‐making
sectors
• Understanding
of
the
Impact
Investment
Development
sector
• Understanding
of
the
UK
housing
sector
• Knowledge
of
built
environment
development
