Since then I’ve helped multiple students launch ecommerce stores using ideas from
my reports. I try to update this FREE report once a year - but new products and trends
emerge each year. And the competitive landscape is always changing.
I strongly encourage you to do your own research. Use these ideas as a jumping off
point. You can easily drill down to unsaturated sub-niches by looking at overall de-
mand, trends and competition.
Just keep in mind the important lesson: you need a process for choosing what to
sell online. Don’t just randomly choose something based on a hunch.
Also keep in mind that saturated product niches can have untapped markets. For
example, selling leggings to men. Or dog carrier backpacks to hiking lovers.
Finally, understand that ecommerce is rapidly growing and relatively new. This means
new opportunities are constantly emerging.

The amazon and Google search volume are really good indicators as well.
Selling a customer just about anything is a difficult proposition. For this reason, you
want to make sure that your customer has a high lifetime value or “LTV.” High LTV
products tend to be goods that a customer would continue to need over and over
again, or goods that have a higher price point.
Are there weak domains (ahrefs domain rank less than 30) ranking on page 1 of Goo-
gle? I call this a weak search engine results page or “weak SERP”.

Apparel / Accessories
Clothing is a great market for private label brands. Customers love discovering new
brands that help them stand out. The average closet has more than 100 items of cloth-
ing and fashion. Plus, there are purpose-driven outfits for working out or enjoying a
day at the beach.

product niche into an affiliate one, by tapping into the headache/migraine niche in
your branding.

Margins on cosmetic products are insane. People are becoming more aware of what
they put in and on their body. Think vegan, natural, etc.
With the push for healthier skin care products, the cosmetic industry is shifting. This

If you do take the route of private labeling electronics make sure the product is high
quality and multiple suppliers can make the product with your logo on it. Private label
electronics can be a tough niche.

In 2018, Google killed many sites in the health niche with a series of major algorithm
updates. Known together as the YMYL ( your money your life) and EAT (Expertise,
Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). These changes in Google were made to root out
illegitimate health sites giving advice. Many of these sites were run by marketers, not
subject matter experts.
So if you tackle any sites in this niche, make sure you have a legit reason to offer
health advice. If not, Google has ways of sniffing you out.
