1 Summary

This document describes various configurations for connecting to TSX Micro and Premium devices
through the eWON XIP-to-Unitelway gateway.
Important: The eWON always acts as an Unitelway slave.

2 eWON Connected to slave through master with 2 unitelway busses

In this configuration, there are 2 Unitelway busses:

• The first bus is mastered by the premium TER connection and is connected to the eWON.
• The second bus is also mastered by the eWON through a PCMCIA TSX SCP114 card installed
in the Premium and configured as Unitelway master. The Micro PLC is connected on the bus
and configured as an Unitelway slave responding to addresses 4,5,6.

2.1 eWON XWAY Configuration


The eWON responds to XWAY address 13.1 on the XIP connection and to link address AD0=4
on the Unitelway bus.

Important: The eWON as the same address link than the Micro PLC but it is on a different bus.

2.2 Connect to PLCs using PL7PRO


0.1.4 is Module, Channel, LinkAddress

Addressing the Premium The PLC address to use is {13.1}SYS

Addressing the Micro The PLC address to use is {13.1}0.1.4

Where channel is 0 for TER connection and 1 for SCP114 connection.


In any case 13.1 must match the eWON Network and Station configuration.

3 eWON Connected to slave through master with 1 unitelway bus

In this configuration, there is 1 unitelway bus.


• The bus is mastered by the premium TER connection and is connected to the eWON and the Micro.
Important: The switches in the TSXPACC01 must be configured as "Slave" for Micro
and Master for Premium. The eWON is always acting as a slave.

3.1 eWON XWAY Configuration


The eWON responds to XWAY address 13.1 on the XIP connection and to link address AD0=2
on the Unitelway bus.

Important: The eWON is now responding to addresses 2 and 3.


The Micro PLC is still configured with address AD0=4 and is responding to addresses 4,5,6.
The TER connection can only poll 8 slaves.

3.2 Connect to PLCs using PL7PRO

Addressing the Premium The PLC address to use is {13.1}SYS

Addressing the Micro The PLC address to use is {13.1]0.0.4

0.0.4 are Module, Channel, Link Address


Where channel is 0 for TER connection.
In any case 13.1 must match the eWON Network and Station configuration.
