Lingua Club administers English Month 2018

With the theme “Engaging Challenges through Speech, Reading and Writing in a
Healthy Competition”, Holy Trinity School of Padre Garcia Bats. Mataas na Kahoy
Branch Inc. celebrated the English Month, November 19 to 27. Lingua Club came up
with the idea of having different activities in which all the students will develop a sense
of appreciation towards the English language as well as to develop their five micro
skills.
Activities include film viewing, spelling bee, poem making, essay writing,
extemporaneous speaking, story reading, poem recital, broadcasting, declamation and
oratorical speaking. The film viewing activity was used as the opening piece for the said
event. All the students of the Holy Trinity School are required to watch a full movie that
is suitable for their grade level. The assigned movies are: Inside Out for the Pre-
Elementary level, Coco for Grades 1 to 3, The Greatest Showman for Grades 4 to 6,
The Darkest Minds for Grades 7 and 11, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for
Grades 8 and 12, and Bad Genius for Grades 9 and 10. The said activities were made
possible through the joint forces of the Lingua Club officers including Rein Jazryll Binay,
Trisha Diaz, Arffyd Matthew Agda, Jzelen Ice Abraham, Mitzie Joie Perez, Lorreine
Marasigan, Gwyneth masangkay, Ericka Bautista Kian Russel Mendoza, and Karlos
Alba, technical support-Gene Xavier Lina, English teachers - Ms. Jessa M. Tumambing,
Ms. Jhoan M. Pacanza and Lingua Club adviser, Ms. Abegael M. Mariscotes.
