News of the Week: Write 5 lines (Today is.., Yesterday

is…) and add some of your own news. Read your news
aloud
Letter of the week: ‘w’ Discuss things/people’s names
/words that contain or have the ‘w’ sound at
beginning/end (look in books for this letter)
Sight Words: Complete learning words in your word

Wordlist 21: Blend the sounds to read the following

pocket and put into verbal sentences . Write them
into your spare copy if you wish

Wordlist: Read the sentences based on new words:

Use Maths Sheet sent home to help:
Attempt to draw a cat or a bird or a
dinosaur
Describe how you do this in stages. Try to
include language such as under, on top of,
beside, behind, next to, around, curved,
front, end first, then, next, finally.
Use sheets sent home:
Revise days of the week
Revise song ‘Today is….’ to air of ‘Frere
Jacques’
Write the names of the days on pieces of
paper. Jumble them up and place in correct
order. Name the day that comes
before/after/between certain days. Play
days of week bingo with someone at home
(use photocopy ) Play with a parent/sibling
Cut up, colour and sequence the first two
sections of the sequencing sheet ‘Keeping
warm’/ ‘Making a snowman’ . Describe in
order what is happening

Gaeilge: Practise as best you can saying the

Draw a picture of Liam and the Easter Bunny in your
