Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative

action of God and it remains for ever in a special relationship with the Creator,
who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end, no
one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an
innocent human being. We consider vices as a violation of the 5th Commandment
because it violates the rules of God which we’re not supposed to do. Like for
example vices like drugs, alcohols or liquors, cigarettes and many more. These
vices can/might kill people and it violates the 5th commandment. We should have
respect for our life that God has given to us and we should take care of it and love
it because we just borrowed our life from God.
We say that suicide is a violation of the 5th Commandment because suicide
was one of the gravest sins a person can commit and many Catholics today still
fear that a loved one who dies by suicide is bound to spend eternity in hell. Many
families have stories of being denied a church funeral or hearing that the person
who died could not be buried in the Catholic cemetery where their family members
were laid to rest. As a Christians we were taught that suicide is a mortal sin
because it is an act against the will of God and is a violation of the fifth
commandment. A person who wilfully and knowingly chooses suicide would still
be considered to be in a state of mortal sin. Also, suicide is contrary to both love of
God and love of self, and that it goes against the basic human instinct to preserve
life.
‘God alone has the right to take away life.’ There is only one Lawgiver and
Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. God alone, who gave the law, is the
Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. I agree that only God who
created all life has the right to take it away. Firstly, I believe that all Christians and
not just some believe that all human life is sacred. The belief in the sanity of life is
a very important element of the Christian faith. Some may believe that because
God gave life, he alone has the right to take it away. I therefore believe that issues
such as abortion and Euthanasia are wrong. This is because they destroy God's gift.
No one has the right to kill someone except god and by that we mean naturally,
when you’re supposed to die but where does it stop being Gods responsibility and
start becoming other people’s actions. Life is God given meaning only God should
be able to control who lives and who dies. It states how killing is murder and that
life is a sacred gift from god and therefore only he has the right to take it back. And
I believe that God alone has the right to make decisions about the end and
beginnings of one's life.
