or something that often happens. It can also be
something a person often forgets or usually does

very moment. It can also be used to

The present progressive has the following structure:

Present progressive can be use to describe actions


happening right now and future arrangements. It just
depends on the time expression. Take a look.

My family is travelling from Bogota to Cali right now.

The spelling of the simple past form with regular verbs (- ed forms)

REMEMBER: not all verbs in English are regular, there are irregular verbs. They

Time expressions are used to locate an action or some actions at specific moment in past. They say when
someone did something.

USE OF PAST CONTINUOUS

Use the past continuous for:

A continuing unfinished action: When Ignacio arrived at nine, the teacher was reading a book.
A continuing action interrupted: While we were doing the exam, the fire alarm went off.
For activities as background description: The forest was full of sounds. Birds were calling from the
trees and thousands of insects were buzzing and humming.
For two continuing events happening at the same time: While Jessica was talking to the teacher,
Nacho was misbehaving.
