Experience:
Mission Hills High School San Marcos, CA August 2018-Present
English Teacher, Tennis Coach
I currently teach California Common Core State Standards to honors 9th grade and standard 11th
grade English courses. I facilitate learning by upholding high standards while maintaining a nurturing
environment. Students carry the cognitive load; they learn through collaboration with peers, academic
discussion, research, purposeful reflection, and mindful community building. I also coach boys’ junior
varsity tennis. I believe involving myself in the community holds value for students and myself, as it
helps build rapport and a safe space for students to connect. I want my students and players to know
the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and having ambition towards a goal.
