I. Consider Jesus, the Author and Developer of your faith.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was
set before him endured the cross.... Consider Him that endured such
contradiction of sinners against himself” (Hebrews 12:1-3).
Consider Jesus who is the High Priest of our confession (Hebrews 6:20).
Consider Him financially, our Melchizedek, our Financier.
Consider Jesus. Consider the One who walked the shores of Galilee. Consider the
One who healed the leper. Don’t consider the sickness or the disease.
Consider the El Shaddai (The All-Sufficient One) God. Consider the One who’s
more than enough. Consider the Most High God. Consider Him!
II. The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all El Shaddai. They are in perfect harmony.
“Believe in Me,” Jesus is saying. “I am El Shaddai in the flesh. My blood is the
blood of this covenant” (John 14:10).
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father (El
Shaddai), and he shall give you another Comforter (also El Shaddai), that he may
abide with you for ever” (John 14:15-16).
Jesus said He will love the person who keeps His commandments, and He will
manifest Himself to him for He is also El Shaddai, the Almighty God (John 14:21).
The Holy Spirit, also El Shaddai, is here. He came on the day of Pentecost and has
not left (Acts 2:1-4). He’s in you. He’s on your side.
III. Brother Copeland had a vision many years ago about the Holy Spirit.
Brother Copeland had a yellow legal pad in front of him where he had written
things he was praying about the ministry.
All of a sudden, in a vision, he was in a long room, and the Father came in and sat
down.
Jesus came in and sat down on the Father’s right side.
Through the same door came the Holy Spirit. He walked down the length of the
table and sat right next to Brother Copeland.
The Holy Spirit took the yellow pad and said, “I’m going to get all this for you;
I’ve been here before.”

Pray with us to step into the power realm:
Heavenly Father, I want to step into the power realm. I realize I step in by faith. Help
me to hear You and be courageous to walk in love, faith and power. In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

I. Receive your covenant promises by having a willing heart.
Several years ago, Brother Copeland was having financial difficulties.
He was believing God’s WORD, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the
good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19).
o He heard The LORD say, You don’t qualify for that promise. You have been
obedient all these years, but not willing.
Brother Copeland had been on weekly TV on Sundays, and on radio.
o During that time, scandals had occurred with high-profile televangelists.
In that unpopular climate, The LORD said, I want you to start a daily television
broadcast.
o Brother Copeland’s reflex response was, “No!” His schedule was already
overloaded; not because God asked him to do more, but because he kept
adding meetings that God didn’t ask him to preach.
Brother Copeland was unwilling, but he instructed the staff to get ready for daily
TV broadcasts.
Brother Copeland obeyed The LORD’s directive even though he was not willing.
o When He realized that he had been unwilling, he quickly repented.
o His new confession was, “I love daily television!” The emotions of joy and
satisfaction came immediately.
II. If you have a willing heart, God can work with you.
In ancient Judah, Amaziah, who became king, did what was right in the eyes of
The LORD (2 Chronicles 25:1-2). Though he obeyed in most things, he didn’t
have a willing heart for it.
In contrast, the heart of King Asa was perfect. Though he had not obeyed
thoroughly, he had a willing heart (2 Chronicles 15:16-19).
The LORD pointed out to Brother Copeland what had been the problem all along.
o “Because thou servedst not The LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with
gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things” (Deuteronomy 28:47).
o Upon seeing this, he made an attitude correction.
Anything you say long enough to get in your heart will control your life.
Willingness needs to come before obedience.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
Make a list of areas in your life. Put a “W” beside each area as you seek to be willing and
obedient. Remember to pray, ask for God’s help, and thank Him every day. Willingness
comes first, then obedience becomes a joy.

I. To receive our covenant promises, we must be fully persuaded that God will keep
His WORD.
God made covenant promises to Abraham in Genesis 17.
The Apostle Paul references those promises in Romans 4.
“The covenant promise is sure to all the seed that we might receive the promise
of the Spirit through faith” (Romans 4:16).
The words promise and covenant begin to take on serious and joy-filled
meanings as we learn more about what God is offering (Romans 4:16-20).
The word seed is singular. Jesus is the seed of Abraham’s faith.
III. You need to be fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able also to
perform (Romans 4:21).
There are seven redemptive Names of God. We just call Him God, or The LORD.
Our Father is Almighty God. He is everything He said He is. He is Jehovah Rapha,
our Shepherd; Jehovah Jireh, our Provider; Jehovah Rapha, The LORD who heals;
Jehovah Tsidkenu, our Righteousness; Jehovah Shalom, our Peace; Jehovah
Shammah, He is present. He’s the God who will never leave us nor forsake us
(Hebrews 13:8), and Jehovah Nissi, our Covering. He’s always present and
around us.
He is Jehovah, LORD Sabaoth, The LORD of hosts is His Name. The LORD Sabaoth,
Jesus, is The LORD Commander of the heavenly hosts.
The LORD has an army of angels standing ready if you’ll just give Him the
opportunity to fight on your behalf. He is the God of the armies of heaven!
This is covenant talk.
IV. We must be fully, completely, absolutely persuaded about God’s promises and His
ways.
“Come boldly to the throne of grace” (Hebrews 4:16).
We sit on the right hand of Jesus on the throne of grace.
o We’ve been raised up together and made to sit with Him together in the
heavenlies (Ephesians 2:6).
Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, El Shaddai, the Almighty God, The LORD
Sabaoth (Ephesians 1:20).
We can believe and depend on the covenant-sworn oath of God to keep His
promises to us.
o “That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12).
Brother Copeland’s mother prayed for him for over 13 years to get born again.
When she cast her worries onto The LORD (1 Peter 5:7), He and Gloria both got
born again just weeks later.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
Make this declaration by faith:
Father God, as an act of my will, I choose to be fully persuaded that You will do what
You promised to do in my life. You promised to save me and fill me with Your Holy
Spirit, and You have. You promised to heal me and prosper me, and You have. You
promised to help and guide me every day of my life, and You have. I receive it all by
faith in Jesus Christ. Thank You, Sir. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I. An oath is a covenant promise, a blood-sworn oath that is the end of the argument.
When Jesus talked about promises, He was talking about the covenant-sworn
oath of God.
We must be completely, absolutely and fully persuaded that what God promised,
He will do.
The first covenant God made with Abram was sealed with the blood of animals.
The second covenant made between God and Jesus was sealed with the blood of
Jesus Himself.
God confirmed His WORD by a blood-sworn oath, so we could have strong inner
strength to believe (Hebrews 6:17).
II. Abram was met by Melchizedek, a priest of the Most High God (Genesis 14:18).
Melchizedek brought bread and wine, which were symbols of the coming
sacrifice of body and blood that Jesus would make on our behalf.
o According to Jewish records, Melchizedek was Shem, Noah’s son.
Our minds must be renewed to believe and depend on Jesus, our High Priest,
who is a priest in the order of Melchizedek (Romans 12:2; Hebrews 7:17).
When we use covenant faith and are fully persuaded, we win.
o We own the bat and ball, and our Father is the umpire. We’re going to win
this game! We don’t play nine-inning games. We play till we win.
o We shout for joy by faith because we have the victory.
III. When you’re believing God, stand and say, “I have a covenant with God.”
The ancient way of cutting a Hebrew blood covenant (Genesis 15:9-15).
IV. When you’re believing God, stand and say, “I have a covenant with God.”
The devil will try to tell you that you won’t get anything. Chase the birds, the
devil, out!
You have to stand guard over that covenant blood. God is not going to run satan
off for you.
The Almighty God does not have authority in the earth to do anything about the
devil.
God has already defeated the devil by the obedience of His Son who went into
hell itself, took satan’s keys away from him and totally defeated him.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
The blood of Jesus is a powerful reminder of what Jesus did for us. He presented His blood
to remove our sins. Now we plead the blood of Jesus over ourselves, our loved ones and
every situation in our lives. We are covered and safe from evil by the blood of Jesus.
Give thanks to God every day for the blood of Jesus that He shed for you.

I. Faith comes by hearing The WORD of God—by listening (Romans 10:17).
The disciples were tired; they had had no rest. Jesus said, “Come apart and rest
here in this desert place.” The crowd followed them, and the disciples realized
they would not have any rest (Mark 6:31-34).
o Jesus asked Philip, “Where shall we buy bread that these may eat?”
(John 6:5-13).
o Jesus was working on something, and He already knew what He would do.
Philip wasn’t listening.
Andrew found a boy who had lunch, but he didn’t know how a small amount
could feed so many people. He wasn’t listening.
The faith for the miracle of Jesus’ multiplying food to feed at least 5,000 was in
the people who had heard The WORD. Jesus had taught all day long.
II. The people of Jericho had been afraid of the Jews for 40 years.
Rahab hid the spies that Joshua sent into Jericho (Joshua 2:8-11) and told them
of the fear that Jericho had when they heard that God opened the Red Sea for the
Jews to pass through. Then, they heard the Israelites had defeated the Amorites.
o The Israelites didn’t realize that they were the giants, and the people of
Jericho were the grasshoppers. They had to walk by faith, not by sight.
God kept His covenant to the Jews, and He keeps His covenant to us.
On the other side of God’s command is a blessing of faith. God already has it
worked out. He already knows what He’s going to do.
III. When God tells you to do something you can’t do, it’s an opportunity to see the glory
of God in action. A blessing is in this for you.
Your answer is in the listening.
Brother Copeland’s good friend was praying over the impossible instructions
that he received from The LORD about developing a building.
o He just kept praying and listening and The LORD said, “Don’t worry about it;
the money to cover it all is in the floor.”
o Following that instruction, they ripped up the floor and underneath was
another old, bad floor.
o He kept hearing that the money was in the floor.
o It came time to rip up the next layer, and underneath it all was a wooden
floor made up of such rare wood that is used to make finest furniture in the
world, worth millions of dollars. The money was in the floor.
God knows all the time what He’s going to do. It’s in the listening.
