BONIFACIO: ANG UNANG PANGULO

I believed that a good movie has a better story to tell, that’s what I had experienced upon
watching the said movie. It will definitely give you a roller coaster ride, if you can’t handle it right you
will prolly throw up. It gives so much emotion and in all fairness it was very effective.
Let’s talk about the beginning of the movie, it was presented there the history of the
organization in the Philippines created to fight against the colonizers. It all started in “La Liga
Filipina,” was created by Gat. Rizal. Boni was also part of the organization, it was not successful
because Dr. Rizal was jailed and prosecuted after. Later on, upon weighing the consequences and
the problems they were facing that time, He decided to start the uprising in action of creating another
organization named “Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan.”
As the movie went on, the rising action was evident. It was not easy for him to recruite Filipinos
who will be part of the uprising. One year after they created the organization, the number of their
members was only 300. That’s the time when Bonifacio decided to take the lead and later on
recruited a lot more than the previous number. They did not win every battles they had, that’s why
Bonifacio and his troops were questioned in the meeting happened in Convention Center. I was very
furious the moment they decided to vote for another president, while in fact it was only Andres
Bonifacio who’s deserving to be on that position.
They insulted Boni inside the four corner of the room, it felt like I was there watching them. I
want to scratch the face of that cabinet who talked shit more about him. They treated Bonifacio as
their enemy because they want to be on top. It’s sad to witnessed that kind of attitude, I thought it was
only present in our time but I was wrong. Pulling someone just to be on top, that’s very ill.
When I reached the Climax of the story, I uttered a lot of curses when they ordered to seized
Bonifacio and his brother. They killed them helplessly. I just can’t believe that just like that, we lost our
dearest Boni. We lost the man who save us from being imprisoned all our lives. We lost the President
we never had.
I had a lot of information gathered by watching the movie alone, I can say that the movie was
superb. It was created to inform, educate, and entertain. Though there were some information that
was not presented in the movie, it’s understandable because it will definitely make the movie pretty
long. Naturally, it was pretty long though.
