The summation of the molar ratio for each guest
molecule to Ni-complex in crystals is shown by dotted
line in Fig. 5. Whenthe molar ratio ofp-X to Ni-
complex in crystals is more than 0.3 (corresponding
to a molar ratio of 0.55 in initial solution), the sum-
mation value becomes constant at about 1.0. In
other words, it seems that the decrease in molar ratio
of p-X is completely compensated by 4-MePy and
MCSif the molar ratio ofp-X to Ni-complex is larger
than 0.3, and on the contrary no such compensation
effect is observed at values smaller than 0.3. These
