I. Introduction
Thesis Nuclear power arouse controversy all around the world all
the time because of the negative as well as positive effects.
II.Body Paragraph
Paragraph 1 The pursuit of nuclear energy for electricity generation
began soon after the discovery in the early 20th.
But on the beginning of nuclear era, the usage of nuclear is rather
used to be nuclear weapons which were used in World War II.
After World War II, since many people has known the damage
effects were brought by nuclear bomb, nuclear first developed as
electricity source in first world countries.
Electricity was generated for the first time by a nuclear reactor on
December 20, 1951, at the EBR-I experimental station near Arco,
Idaho, which initially produced about 100 kW.
Nowadays, 13–14% of the world's electricity came from nuclear
power and more than 150 naval vessels using nuclear propulsion
have been built.
Paragraph 2 Nuclear is well-known as the efficient source of energy.
It produces around 14% of the world's energy needs.
Nuclear power does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide (no
pollution) so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.

The pursuit of nuclear energy for electricity generation began soon after the discovery
in the early 20th. But on the beginning of nuclear era, the usage of nuclear is rather used to be
nuclear weapons which were used in World War II. After World War II, since many people has

Nuclear is well-known as the efficient source of energy. It produces around 14% of the
world's energy needs. Nuclear power does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide (no pollution)
so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. It can produce huge amounts of energy from
small amounts of fuel that will give small amount of waste.
There are so many risks in usage of nuclear as power plant beside the benefits they
give. The most dangerous effect of nuclear power is radiation that comes from Uranium as
radioactive element. The radiation gives dangerous effects for human life which can make
mutation in human’s cells. The other negative effect of nuclear power is the high risk of nuclear
power plant to get accident that really dangerous for human and environmental around that.
Nine nuclear power plant accidents with more than US$300 million in property damage, to
2010.
Because of high efficiency of nuclear power and the issue of global warming which is
mainly caused by the pollution of fossil fuel as power plant, so many countries over the world
are using and developing nuclear as source of electricity. Nowadays, both first world country
and and some developing country develop nuclear power plant. The example of first world
country which have nuclear power plant are United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, and
Rusia. They build so many nuclear power plant in order to replace coal power plant. Developing
country such as Iran, North Korea, South Korea, and India also develop nuclear power plant,
eventhough the technology they use is not as good as first world country’s technology. The
issue, grows from the development of nuclear in developing country, comes from first World
country. First World country think that the nuclear development in many developing country
will bring the world in to the World War III which nuclear will be the mainly weapons in that
war.
Scientists predict that the usage of nuclear will grow so fast all around the world not
only for power plant but also will be used as atomic weapons. Nuclear power plant is being used
commercially because its fame benefits. But the fame benefits will turn extremely in to
dangerous effects if human takes nuclear as weapons. The great energy of nuclear weapon, in
this case atomic bomb, could be seen in World War II, where Hiroshima and Nagasaki became
ruin because of that deathly bomb. People are afraid if that bad history will happen again and
ignite the happening of World War III.
Beside the benefits of nuclear power, nuclear also can be used as nuclear weapons that
will be extremely dangerous for human life if the nuclear development is uncontrolled. So, let us
anticipate nuclear war by taking just the advantages ones from all usage of nuclear.
