Example #1: Meets

This student has received a 20/20. They were able to identify all of the text details needed and
was able to make the necessary connections. They were also able to communicate their book
talk clearly.

Example #2: Partially Meets

This student received a 17/20, which qualifies as partially met. They met most, but not all of
their key details, and were slightly hard to understand due to volume. For the key details
section, this student had the opportunity to type up the missing key detail and hand it in for that
point back.
Example #3: Does Not Meet

This student received a 10/20, which qualifies as Does Not Meet the learning goal. This student
was able to clearly articulate all of the key details, but did not have a learning target and
connection. They also lost points for failure to have a complete book talk, despite having a
conference in which they were told they needed to have a learning target and connection. This
student was able to articulate what they did have clearly, though. As seen on the rubric, this
student was able to turn in a written copy of the information to get all of the missing points back
for the learning target and connection section.
