—Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

Lakshmi Devi, the divine consort of Lord Vishnu, is

one of the unlimited forms of the Divine Mother. She
is the Goddess of fortune, auspiciousness,
nourishment, love, beauty, and prosperity. Mother
Lakshmi blesses our health, family and finances,
but to the spiritual aspirant She is manifests as
sadhana-shakti (the power that sustain our spiritual
practices). We pray to Her to bless us with the pure
and noble qualities necessary for spiritual
realization. Mother Lakshmi, shines in the blooming
lotus of the heart as purity, spiritual aspiration and
devotion to God.
