How to upgrade the Dongle Security Service software

(for upgrading to version 1.01.00 or greater)

Earlier versions of the Dongle Security Service software must be uninstalled before
installing this new version. The earlier version can be removed either of two ways:

1.) Using Windows Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs -

Uninstall "Security Service"
OR:
2.) Double-click on the installation file "secserveinst_01.XX.XX.exe". You will see the
message "Setup detects installed components. Do you wish to remove them?" Select
YES. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall process.

To Install the new version:

First, double-click on the installation file. Click NEXT, accept the terms of the license
agreement, click NEXT, then INSTALL. Once the installation is complete, click FINISH.
At this point, the "InstallShield Wizard for the Sentinel Protection Installer" will launch.
Click NEXT, then select REPAIR, then click NEXT, then INSTALL. When the
installation is complete, click FINISH. If prompted to restart your computer, you may
select “no”.
Finally, the "SafeNET component install" will launch. Click NEXT. A window will
appear displaying the message "dongle service is running". Enter your Email address,
then click SAVE/EXIT and confirm by clicking YES. The upgrade is now complete.
