ABSTRACT BLOCK DIAGRAM

The Objective of the project is to design low cost
myoelectric hand which utilize myoelectric control.
EMG signals acquires from the hand, perform pre-
processing task and featured extraction on EMG
signals. The final output of EMG signals applied
through servo motor to the 3D myoelectric hand. The
hand will be able to help improve the quality of life of
upper limb amputees at an affordable cost.

PROBLEM STATEMENT Fig: 2 Block diagram of Device

WORKING
This myoelectric arm controlled through sensors
connected to remaining muscle of Patient’s arm.
Sensors pick up EMG signals which are processed
in arduino chip ATmega32U4 and converted to
movements of prosthetic arm. Here the servo
motors is used to control the individual finger
movement of the artificial 3d printed arm.

RESULTS & DISCUSSION

In the market myoelectric prosthetic hands are
available at price range between 2L to 12L Rs. A)

This price is not affordable for the masses of our

country. So, we have developed a myoelectric
hand at a price point of 20,000 Rs.

OUR PROPOSAL
B) C)
To make It affordable for the users like:
• Handicap person
• Military/accidental loss
• Partially or fully paralyzed persons
According to fingers and movements we get different amplitude
which shown in figure A). Classification of the signals for different
movement control can be implemented easily. The following figures
B & C are Showing contraction and relaxation movement with
working. Here we use thresholding technique to feature extraction

CONCLUSIONS
With our device one can see a better future for
amputees by installing this type of myoelectric
arm which is comparatively affordable in price into
