Grade 1 Objectives (1st year band students)

- Reviewing basics (note names, clefs, key/time signatures, etc.) taught in their beginning band
class; focus on their classrooms method books and teacher’s homework assignments.
- Teach proper embouchure and how to create a good tone.
- Improve rhythms through weekly rhythm sheets and note naming assignments.
- Use Breathing Gym to help learn how to properly breath.
- Introduce students to Euphonium performers.
- All Major Scales memorized (1 Octave)
- Chromatic Scales (1 Octave)
